So if Lee and Ramirez arent in the nightcap, do we have permission to panic? Im not surprised that they wouldnt play both games, but I find it odd that they both sit out the same one.

I agree, but it reallt seems as though Ricciardi really has no intention of trading Halladay, but wants to make it look like hes trying. I dont know what team would be dumb enough to give up all their top prospects plus take on an albatross of a contract on a bad player. This is one of those rare times when Im glad Hendry doesnt have any money on his hands.

Hopefully Baker plays tomorrow. Im not saying hes earned the job, but I do feel that when you have a situation like ours at 2nd, when a guy has a good game they deserve to play the next.

Yeah Dan Haren and Huston Street are awful Dan Haren is a Cardinals product. Besides, hes been gone a year and a half, theres still time for thr wheels to fall off.

At this point, I say DL him and go with Z,Lilly,Wells,Marshall,Samardzjia/Hart. Were enough of a mess as it is, why does it matter if we lose 3-1 or 7-1.

Our best pitcher vs. a guy who would be lucky to be in AAA for most organizations. Youd think it would be an easy win for the Cubs. At least you would if you didnt know the Cubs very well. I didnt realise we were in 5th place and behind the freaking Astros. The worst part is, with the Nationals and Indians in the way, it will be impossible for us to end up with Bryce Harper. Im not saying they wont try, but it will be a very tall order.
