  1. Any time Nate McClouth comes to bat vs the Cubs, something like thats likely to happen.
  2. Its 1 run. Cubs can come back from such a defecit. Cant they?
  3. Seriosly, do we lead the league in double plays yet? Weve got to be close.
  4. http://badwax.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/jake-fox-auto-2.jpg Im just saying.
  5. Which one? The Rockies debacle. The one where the guy attacked Howry?
  6. They DLd him on 7/5 , no retro. Hammy strain.
  7. Seriously dude, quit pretending like you run this place when you clearly don't. I know there are a number of posters out there who like the pretend they run this place, but I never have. Im just saying, it would be easier to compile a list of trade proposals than a new one every time. It's not your place to request or ask such things. If you have an issue with someone, take it up with a moderator. In the meantime, there is nothing wrong with the original post. You could choose to ignore it if a post like that bothers you that much, though. Then I apologize. Either way, if they want a new loog, Fossum will get the chance first.
  8. He's a former Rockies utility infielder. We gave up A ball pitcher Al Alburquerque for him. Here's the thread in transactions on the trade. And here's his baseball reference page. Thanks. Wasn't that kind of an unnecessary trade? i assume they see him as a platoon partner for Fontenot who can provide a lot more with the bat than Blanco. One of those things that we really gave up nothing of value and got a guy who could be a solid contributer, and if it means the end of the Aaron Miles era, than that alone is worth it.
  9. I dont think this gets in. Oh well, Go Brewers, and hopefully we take care of the Cards and the Dodgers take care of the Brewers.

  11. Id take Clevenger or Robinson as a backup catcher, but as a starter, Id really rather not have either or Hill.
  12. I don't trade him to any team without getting their very best prospect if thats who I want. Whose to say thats not whats going to happen? Ricciardi has made it perfectly clear that it will have to be a great deal to pry him away, and despite the thread title, hes not all but gone from Toronto. Whoever gets Halladay gets one of the best and the most underrated pitcher in the game today for 1.5 years, and the package will probably have to exceed those for Sabathia, Holiday, and Bedard.
  13. Seriously dude, can you just start 1 thread where you can compile all of your trade proposals?
  14. for a brief, shining moment teams playing great sales complete everyones back from the DL. next thing you know ofense takes 15 innings off sales NOT complete new set of injuries. Is someone out there messing with us on purpose?
  15. The Dodgers have been looking for ways to get Juan Pierre into the lineup and looking for a top of the rotation starter, so if they're willing to build a package around Kemp or Ethier, they could very much be in business.
  16. Is this the actual lineup? yep, according to suntimes twitter. It is but it's changed now. Soto and Blanco out, Theriot in batting 2nd, Bradley 5th, Fox 6th, Hill 8th. Is there something wrong with Soto? Why would he sit 2 in a row, especially with an off day tomorrow?
  17. Braves sitting Chipper again. McClouth Prado Anderson McCann Escobar Kotchman Frenchy Conrad Kawakami Losing 2 straight to the Chipper free Braves would not be cool.
  18. This game rests on Kevin Harts shoulders. If he can give us 6 innings, that would be super. The lineup we have is better than any of those May-June lineups, and theres no reason they shouldnt have a big game vs. Kawakami.
  19. The thing about Beckham is hes nowhere near his ceiling. This is on the job training. When the Sox brought him up, they knew he probably wasnt major league ready and planned on being out of the race, and this was to be essentially AAAA for Beckham.
  20. Take anything Mully, Hanley, Boers, Bernstein, or any of the other radio bunch says with a grain of salt. Pretty much, it just had me thinking. I keep forgetting which one of Mully or Hanley is the supposed Cubs fan. Everytime i hear him talk about the cubs or white sox i start to believe that he's more a white sox fan than a cubs fan. They always seem to talk positively about the Sox and their organization but yet are quick to talk smack about the cubs. I guess thats what you get when you listen to a sox radio station, i'm pretty sure when they began the show, the producers looked at them and said, "well one of you needs to be a cubs fan or else it would look bad on us if we have two sox fans talking about chicago baseball." In all of those shows, they're pretty much fans of whichever team happens to be doing well at the time. Back when the White Sox were struggling to score runs, they were the most pathetic team on earth and they should have had a fire sale then and there. Now the White Sox are the best thing since individually wrapped slices of american cheese.
