  1. i'm no expert because i've never be a gritty guy myself, i don't know if my opinion can considered as valid. i'm rather lazy, i stand and admire my posts before hitting the submit button, i don't hustle from thread to thread, and i have poor body language after spelling and grammatical mistakes. again, if you don't feel like my suggestions are acceptable because i never played the game, i'd understand. suggestions: -points for wearing eye black (bonus points if it gets smeared on a regular basis) -points for chewing tobacco (bonus points if it's clearly visible to the tv audience) -points if kenny williams has gotten a chubby over the thought of the player in a white sox uniform -points for excessive pinetar on the top of the battle helmet -points for carrying batting gloves in your hands on the basepaths (of course, they weren't worn at the plate)
  2. This is a very apt comparison. The US commentators are garbage. The Fox Soccer Report guys are ok. The guys doing EPL games are just the regular EPL announcers, so I'm not giving FSC credit for tapping into that feed. The Fox Fone In guys suck. haha, wolf, that's an excellent way of putting it. the guy who does play by play for the mls matches, max something, is pretty brutal with his goal calls. i forgot about fox football fone-in, again, i watch it because they talk about soccer. nick webster isn't bad, but steven cohen is a hack. he's a even a chelsea supporter and i can't stand him. the prem announcers from sky sports are usually pretty damn good.
  3. FSC is good, but could be much, much better. Way too much non-soccer programming, especially in weekend mornings. When they do air programs it's pretty solid, but very Premier League intensive. It could be a lot better, but it's still a relatively new medium, right? My biggest beef is the lack of knowledgeable commentators. the fsc started as fox sports world in 1997 according to wiki, fsc started in feb. 2005. i enjoy bobby mcmahon as a commentator on fox soccer report, other than that there isn't much commentary on the channel. this prem season, they started super sunday plus, its live from london with english commentators but its an fsc show. its been decent the few times i've caught. great highlights and re-caps of the weekends' matches.

  5. what if you worked with marriotti?
  6. maybe it's my hazy memory, but i remember lee hitting some doubles against us in '03. for sure, in game 6 at least.
  7. please, please win. i don't want to have the tease of getting into the playoffs, just to get eliminated within 3 or 4 days.
  8. great performance by zambrano. disappointing offensive job by the cubbies so far.
  9. i think we all know who is going to be the enemy of all cub fans in this series.
  10. what a terrible sign. his 3 year old kid made it.
  11. hopefully he didn't break his bat over his knee. calm down and pitch good.
  12. huge spot, geo. come through, we're dying here.
  13. z is dealing, one bad pitch so far tonight, otherwise he's been fantastic.
  14. interesting non-bunt call, hopefully the top of the order can do their jobs and bring theriot in.
  15. let's string together a few hits this inning and we're back even. more than anything, i hope webb's pitch count gets up there and he gets lifted in the 7th, realistically that's more wishful thinking.
