  1. is that why flights were $850?
  2. looking for an american girl doll? While I'm sure my 6 year old would love that, they're only giving away clothes and not a doll. None of which I was aware of until I just looked at the promotion. seriously? I actually looked into flights this weekend just for that game but they were ridiculously expensive so no thanks. then I'd get stuck actually buying the dolls.

  6. the question mark really takes the fun out of it.
  7. Oh come on, get over your expert self. No, he isn't wrong. The game is a hell of a lot more complex that people who don't know it or follow it regularly understand. All they see is the disconnect between the hype and the end product. His first touch has been bad. It's a product of fatigue due to the ground he's having to cover combined with pressing. And even with his first touch being bad, he's still completing a high percentages of his passes and breaking up plays. The responsibilities he's being asked to cover are too much for one player, and the fact that he's done an okay job at it speaks volumes for his quality. He had a poor first game, a good 2nd game other than the shot off the line and the miscontrol (and even that doesn't hurt us had the defense not been pushed up far, far higher than they should have been) and everyone looked exhausted yesterday. You aren't responding to anything that was said in these two statements quoted.

  11. Is having your highest OPS in AAA really that much of a game changer? I would think so, especially when you combine it with the fact that Javy is struggling at the same level facing the same pitchers after destroying A and AA last year. I don't really think Javy's situation applies. He's struggling due to his own personal flaws that everybody knew long ago. He's a huge swing and miss guy. But guys produce in AAA. Josh Vitters had a boost in his numbers the first time he went to AAA after a high 700s OPS in AA. It's not an across the board thing, but the league average OPS in the PCL this year is 767, while the league average OPS in AA last year was 683. Having your career best numbers in the PCL doesn't strike me as all that meaningful.
  12. they void them and take away draft picks and fine you and stuff. Are there set criteria or is it subjective? during the last CBA they included an agreement to limit contracts to seven years (8 if player stays with current team) and does something about the year-to-to structure. No clue about the specifics.

  19. what the hell was that?
  20. The US is absolutely getting a red card this game.
