  1. Out of the rumored story there are no rumored stories? Is 'there has been one rumored story in the 8 years he's been on the Hawks' better for you? Look at the evidence of what happened that weekend and believe whatever you want to believe. But arguing like this was something that probably happened before, or was going to happen at some point no matter what seems a bit too far. Nobody is talking about whether it happened before and was destined to happen. The question is did this happen and right now hoping it did not happen does not look good.
  2. Patrick Kane at the parade: “I know you said I’ve been growing up, but watch out for me the next week.” – Patrick Kane, likely causing Hawks management to sweat a bit more over the next few days Dude bros gonna dude bro but Kane has never done himself any favors.

  4. No. I will get ruffled about such insinuations because that is part of the problem with rape culture.
  5. no, not that simple to recognize. within the opinions themselves is rooted a clear bias, here, an absolute assumption born of disgust, that he raped that girl. When somebody accuses another person of rape the fact is it usually has merit. So my bias is to believe a rape victim is telling the truth. Not sure why you take such offense to that stance.
  6. it's bias when the opinion becomes something absolute, and based on personal feelings of disgust or the opposite of disgust. what has become absolute?
  7. in soviet union books possess you!
  8. I feel like people in Chicago do this with names a lot, and I base this entirely on my mom and the occasional sports talk radio call-in nonsense I've heard. It happens with stores too. "We're going to Nordstroms" Yes, every one of my aunts has said that at one point or another. I feel like that's more excusable because so many store names are possessive like that. First, adding an s at the end is not possessive. Second, it is not excusable for adults to screw that up and make children grow up thinking stuff is named differently than it is!

  11. Jae Culter isn't going to have any reseivers to throw to
  12. so the default is that Kane is someone capable of rape? how would any of us know this? because everybody is capable of rape
  13. what the [expletive] is sully doing here?
  14. that's ridiculous. plenty of guilty fools loudly proclaim their innocence and bash their victims. That's not what he said you dope.
  15. there were reports of bite marks and there could very easily be witnesses, as another girl was there.
  16. He's maintained top 3-5 in jersey sales and as of 2014 had 30M+ in endorsements. It's either been forgotten, forgave, or willfully ignored. He also lost a lot of those endorsements before gaining them back. It's over a decade later. It is two entirely different subjects to talk about how will he be welcomed upon his return and how will the world view him in 12 years. Nobody forgot Kobe raped a woman, it's just some assholes celebrate that fact. The world is full of assholes and that is why things like MMA exist.

  20. Maybe by a handful of horrible people, but they will be the exception. I also don't know what format you are talking about for a standing ovation. They will do whatever they can to not introduce guys by name, or have him on the first shift during the anthem. His portion of highlights in any video will be much less prominent. They will hide him. There will not be an opportunity for idiots to give him a standing O.
  21. Hughes is like a great hitter who can't field worth a crap. If he has to miss half the game and make us endure Coomer PBP, it drags down his value. He also sounds like he's dying.
  22. I've avoided radio as much as possible this season because of how bad they are. they? Coomer has dragged down the entire booth and Hughes is way off his game, probably as a result of that and age/health.
  23. no way. The only possible way is if it somehow comes out that this was a blatant money grab and the DA actually presses charges the other way. But if he does return he'll have a few douchebags MRA types that will stand and cheer but most people will be standoffish for a long time. You underestimate meatball fans. I bet he would get a standing O. In what format?

  25. are you bitching about the pitcher's lack of effort in attempting to run out a ground out to 2nd? He touched first about three seconds after being called out. It was a bizarre level of half-assing Guys do that all the time, and pitchers especially do not bust ass on ground balls.
