  1. I would point and laugh and I hope the other people at the poker table would beat him up and take his money. But not the watch. http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-20246229reg.jpg
  2. that is not true. hat/shirt/sweatshirt is fine. on the headphones it looks ridiculous.
  3. [tweet] [/tweet] mets traded a pitcher for a middle infielder from the nl central
  4. Couldn't even get his full name in the damn pic. Jerk. http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/8400000/George-Jetson-and-Astro-the-jetsons-8444453-400-300.gif
  5. Not too sad to put his tiny face front in center in a supposed tribute to Castro.
  6. so I went from non-plussed when i heard about the signing to modestly happy with the moves now that the Castro trade seems to have brought back a decent enough arm. Still a little concerned with how much older this team is getting with these moves, but if they can pull off a Heyward signing this offseason would be amazing. Obviously they have the money, the question is if they are willing to spend it.
  7. I like the move, but it's not a salary dump when you add $56 million. Huh? Are you referring to this sentence? You really can't make these moves without one another so it'd be really disingenous to call it "adding $56 million" when one doesn't happen without the other (which is 100% the case). And it's not hard to see how it clears a little salary for them when you consider what a bargain Warren is and what acquiring him allows them to do (and not to do). That's not even to get into the likely (much) better value you're getting out of the Zobrist money than they were the Castro money. Between these two deals, they're getting more production for less money. Saying "dumping $38 million" is far more disingenuous than pointing out that they added $56 million. Castro had value. He was traded for value. Nothing was dumped.
  8. The rookie scale changed that equation
  9. It's freezing in here, going to take a while to work up a good enough sweat.
  10. Same here. Like, I mean, the kid is devastated. He's worn #13 and played SS ever since he started playing T-ball 5 years ago, and he's got Castro cards and posters all over his room, and he met Castro last year during ST. Ouch.
  11. yeah it is but at least it's the new york yankees. he'll have fun. Fun is outlawed on the Yankees.
  12. He's not an accountant, he's a professional athlete. And he's old.
  13. I hope you're saying you're going to wear it at the gym and then give it to him. That is what I am saying.
  14. I have a Yankees fan in secret Santa tomorrow. Giving him my old Castro tshirt after I go to the gym in the morning.
  15. I'm never sure how to use this term but I feel non-plussed right about now.
  16. Who cares about 7 year averaged for 35 year olds. He was very good in his prime. He's not in his prime anymore. You don't think he's better than Castro for the next 2 years by a considerable margin?(1-2 WAR per year) wtf does that have to do with the statements you quoted?
  17. Who cares about 7 year averaged for 35 year olds. He was very good in his prime. He's not in his prime anymore.
  18. i really like castro, but you're all alone out here. Doubtful.
  19. So the new market inefficiency is getting really old?
  20. big buddy back home is going to get his ass kicked for ratting on his wife to dusty
