  1. because it works for a sport where 2 score games are a blow out in a country the size of wisconsin with teams worth talking about in 3 cities and every teenager has their "they do it so much better in europe" moment and some never grow out of it.
  2. I mean, it's like painfully stupid. Just a bunch of convoluted nonsense that basically destroys the very fabric of an incredibly successful sport just for the completely nonsensical desire to reward the team with a better record during the regular season with a trophy that will take years and years to become cherished by fans. And it doesn't even accomplish what it attempts to do fairly because it makes schedules unbalanced anyway.
  3. oh my god that is an incredibly stupid idea.
  4. 4 minor leaguers? 4? 4 washington lane, the next clue is in the White House!
  5. I don't really think it's heart vs head. The potential benefits to the team of losing are minimal. 4 draft slots will not change a franchise. Ryan Pace is either going to be a good judge of a talent and build a better team or he is not. A couple slots will not make a difference that matters to the end result. This isn't the opportunity to draft Peyton Manning we are talking about.
  6. Usually 1000%
  7. The team got a lot better his first year, missed the playoffs despite a 10-6 record before this disaster season. Kind of dumb to allow a guy to make such sweeping changes if you didn't have enough confidence in him to ignore one bad year. That said, he's a gimmick college coach that needs to get paid big back in college.
  8. Vance is not shocked
  9. I'd feel better about this teams future by seeing them win another game than a couple draft slots. This is supposedly a team with a lot of pieces in place and a quality staff that can win next year. I'd like to see them prove it a little more by beating a divisional opponent, winning more games than previously expected, and finishing this season on a high note. Also because draft slot fandom is dumb and ugly and watching your team win is more enjoyable than the opposite.
  10. He had a couple terrible decisions but that is to be expected for rookies.
  11. Lots of disappointed 12s and pack fans here in Maui

  13. I wasn't aware that targeting/ejection was on the board but thought it was clearly a penalty for helmet to helmet. If I was a juror the penalty would have affected my decision.
  14. Err...the Mets traded for Neil Walker a while back. Not really about that so much. I probably should've said LOLMETSFANS, because they wanted Murphy back badly, and instead he went to a division rival. I don't know any mets fans that wanted him back.
  15. Edgar Olmos? He was great in Battlestar Galactica. Unfortunately his best work was 25 years ago in Miami.
  16. You lose to the Bears this year, you aren't impressive. Good job beating Oakland San Diego and Baltimore, three cities without nfl teams.
  17. The Bears [expletive] the bed against bad teams and are back to getting g embarrassed against mediocre teams. They aren't getting new jobs.
  18. I'm asking if you're saying Fangio/Gase aren't worthy of their current positions as coordinators or of a head coaching position? What are you referring to as "the job?" A NEW HEAD COACHING POSITION THAT EVERYONE SEEMINGLY WORRIED THEY WOULD BE GETTING THIS OFFSEASON. I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT IT.
  19. Im not sure I can explain it any more clearly. If they get a new job, I won't miss them.
  20. I think Gase is gonna get a gig still. Or do you mean that we stop worrying about losing him because he's not that good? i don't think these guys are worthy of the job nor the regrets of losing them if they somehow get a job.
