  1. NFL on NFLX today
  2. You are the one that has been begging for garbage time stats for 8 weeks
  3. Another one goal loss. Another empty netter given up. Another goal by Bedard. The first assist by Nazar. Despite the recent wins this team is still last overall in the league and going to draft somebody with a ton of talent. But they’ve got a long way to go to match the excitement and talent of a team like the devils with scoring coming from all sorts of guys and budding superstars all around.
  4. I thought no interceptions was bad
  5. I’m disappointed he hasn’t been better. I’m disappointed he’s looked as bad as he has as often as he has. I’m not disappointed with the pick or unhappy that he’s here. I have a decent amount of faith in his future but still plenty of doubt largely because of his shortcomings. I’d wish he’d figure out how to score a touchdown before being down 20.
  6. I’m not saying everybody on the roster has to go. I am saying almost the entire OL, most of the DL, the LBs, half the secondary. The wr room is in flux with their go to pass catcher heading out. Poles has done a poor job with this roster. They’re going to have 36 losses in three years. im also not as high on Caleb as a lot of people apparently are. The guy has been trash at times. He cannot play in the first half. He’s terribly inefficient and inaccurate. He’s shown flashes and racked up some totals, with a handful of 4th quarter almost comebacks, but I do not believe we are through the doubt stages with him. And I’m sure a lot of NFL people have their doubts as well. He’s probably good enough to stick around and succeed for ten years, but he’s been disappointing to me on a relative basis. Too much bad. Hopefully that goes away next year.
  7. When Tevan Jenkins gets hurt it’s not bad luck. It should be expected. I really don’t think it’s luck at all. They went into the season with a bad offensive line and have gotten bad results. They weren’t prepared to play a competitive 17 game NFL season
  8. There’s a non zero chance Carolina wins one more and bears lost out to flip up to 8. Virtually impossible to drop out of top ten. they’ll need 3 starters out of their first three picks and need another 3-5 in free agency.
  9. The lousy cardinals team that beat the tar out of the bears lost to Carolina. this bears team is really bad. It’s obviously way more than the coaching. The roster has to turn over again. I just can’t see how you keep Poles in the fold, unless he’s effectively demoted from having final say on personnel. The next coach is going to have a huge amount of leverage to demand final say. That’s going to give Poles a conflict of interest when interviewing these guys. it’s a much cleaner process to have Warren run it
  10. He signed an 8 year extension with Philly over the summer
  11. The athletic has run a couple what will future roster look like articles and they have included one big free agent signing. They also discuss who that could potentially be. I posted it a couple pages back:
  12. Three wins in a row for first time since February ‘23. Mikheyev scores two more, Teuvo with two more assists, Nolan Allan with his first NHL goal. 7 guys missed empty netter opportunities So many chances in the first Arvid was really good in net.
  13. How much time passed from that ep and Velus muffing the kick in week 1?
  14. Yeah, I was in favor of moving some of the supposed core parts of the team, including hoerner, at the beginning of the offseason. It was obvious this team needed a shakeup. Shaw gave them options to fill a spot and backfill with competence. It wasn’t guaranteed competence but it was a bet worth taking. Now that they’ve moved Paredes and Bellinger I think there is less value in moving Hoerner as well. Nico is probably the best backup SS option for an aging Dansby the next two years. Probably best to keep him now
  15. Major back issues in 2025 would be a good reason to avoid this guy, imo
  16. I’d rather have Poutine than Poteet
  17. Eh, he became the gm after being a player personnel guy during the Reid years. He ceded the title to Chip Kelly, but took it back after Kelly left and Pederson came on board. Pederson was the rare Super Bowl winning head coach that did not consolidate power, losing his job two years later. Roseman has overseen one of the most successful organizations of the past decade, surviving 4 head coaches in his tenure
  18. Howie Roseman in Philly is absolutely the top dog there
  19. Historically it has been viewed that way they’ve only done the gm is in charge and hires/fires the coach the past couple decades. Before that it was a weird mix director of player personnel and de facto GMs and a couple head coaches that ran the show. They may have tired of their model
  20. Doesn’t seem stupid to me, if you’re getting the right head coach. The right guy might appreciate the good parts of this roster but be critical of the athletes over football player makeup of the roster overall. That guy might push for football players in free agency and the draft while Poles pushes back and wants guys with the right measurables that may result in Poles losing a power struggle and wanting out (which is apparently something his camp has already floated)
  21. This team does not need depth. They need blue chippers. Depth is not the issue. They can hang with teams. They just can’t finish or make impactful plays.
