  1. A) it looked blatant live. B) they were already going to score C) the bears offense wasn't going to do anything with no deep threat.
  2. John Fox says no, they don not have elite running attack
  3. was he a warlock from qarth?
  4. Hell naw
  5. Hard to hold too much against him when the QB situation is so bad. Unless you want to be upset about not pursuing a 5th year qb, which I think has some merit. If we know anything it's that Lovie will definitely solve the qb situation, eventually.
  6. When the entire season is over and I win my bet, will that be a big enough sample size? Just take the L and be done with it. This is embarrassing. Anybody buying puts on the bears are still in-the-money. Nothing embarrassing yet.
  7. That's just simply not true. It's like the 3rd or 4th most talked about topic about the sport among fans. Funnily enough, I hear mostly from Penguins fans that somehow think they are the aggrieved party in any situation. Now sure, nobody else cares, which is why it's weird as hell that people want to blow up the perfect MLB situation in order to steal ideas from the gimmick a minute NHL.
  8. I'll take your word for it
  9. well you originally said 25 and under, and they have a couple 25 year olds that should qualify for that.
  10. 4. Chicago Bears Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen: It's early and this is an aggressive ranking, but the Bears check in this high because these are two backs who stress you in such different ways. Howard is an exceptional blend of power and creativity in yards after contact -- he had the third-most rushing yards after contact in 2016 (561) -- while Cohen is a pint-sized ankle breaker. The trick with Cohen is this: You can be fundamentally sound in your scheme to slow him down, but you better be fundamentally sound as tacklers, too.
  11. Taking a stab in the dark here, was the reference "the field" as in any 3rd player on the roster, since the first 2 are so good.
  12. Not at all. They will use at most 4 different starters this series. They have multiple guys in pen that can go long. They had multiple lefties and multiple hard throwing righties. And most important, they have 2 built in off days and no more than 2 games in a row.
  13. is that even the mother?
  14. I think the division matchups early thing is just really weird, when the whole point of the regular season is to determine the divisional winners. Why then relitigate that exact matchup in the first round? 1/8, 2/7, 3/6, 4/5 makes a lot more sense to me.
  15. I don't think baseball playoffs need to change, but please explain this. What exactly was dumb about that? the de facto 3 seed playing the 2 seed in the first round is kind of dumb.

  17. A bunch of stories by people who have interacted with TT https://twitter.com/drewmagary/status/916274526287220736
  18. the phone notifications (not to mention potential texts) is the toughest part. i used to do a lot of DVRing and avoiding game outcomes with the cubs in like 03-04. it was not easy either, because i worked at a busy appliance/electronic store, but i managed to do it somehow. today, tho, it's damn near impossible. also allow me to make the obligatory (from me), "you're going to a regular season hockey game when the cubs are playing a potential elimination playoff game?!" comment The idea that somebody would want to watch a playoff game after it happens is crazy to me. I've DVRd some games, especially when my kids were younger and putting them to bed interfered with the start. So I could catch up what was happening and not miss anything. But when the game is over, if I missed it, just tell me the score. This is so weird. I couldn't even begin to comprehend the change to routine I'd need to watch a game 24 hours after it happened with no spoilers. Just realized this is about the Bears game. are you stopping yourself from watching both?
