4. hahahaha I was just coming to post the same thing
5. There's nothing particularly "fair" about a 3 game series, not to mention forcing teams to play a doubleheader in the playoffs. This system rewards division winners, and rewards the team with best record by allowing them to face a team that had to spend its ace, or another high caliber pitcher, in the WC game. It adds excitement and immediate viewer attention with 2 elimination games. Nobody is watching a 3 game series. Nobody wants to attend a playoff doubleheader. Just stop with this idea of "fairness" being involved. If you want in to the division series round, win your division. Or deal with the 1 game playoff.
6. I wish they went back to the way it was with just 12 teams in the league and train travel.
7. that young man's got the ultimate set of tools, he can fix this team
8. I will not go hungry tomorrow [tweet] [/tweet]
9. and that is all you will get, fans of those 2 specific teams. There will be no national audience, and you'll probably lose a good amount of those 2 teams' fans as well. MLB Playoffs are a great thing. Stop trying to ruin a great thing.
10. this defeats the entire purpose of what makes this system great. Here's the deal people. We're in the middle of college football and NFL seasons, NBA and NHL is fast approaching. And you know what, there's a winner take all elimination game tonight and tomorrow. This is huge. You can play an entire set of 3/5/7 games series and never get to a winner take all elimination game. These games matter. They are exciting. Game 7s are amazing, and maybe we'll get one this year. But these two back to back games are the perfect appetizer to the full playoff meal. Enjoy them and don't pity the team that loses.
11. Stop trying to ruin a good thing.
12. Horrible Nobody will give a horsefeathers about your NIT
13.
14. 6,950 were unauthorized games of hide the salami with training room staffers
15. Yeah, no horsefeathers. Football isn't baseball. There was no scientific support for starting Mitch, or benching him. Science has nothing to do with it. Data has nothing to do with it. Mitch was an underutilized college player who probably stood to benefit from a little time on the bench. But we don't know.
16. The Bears are 1-3 but I swear they aren't free falling It's been a long day livin' in Reseda. But Mitch is officially starting this game and we were all raised on promises, couldn't help thinkin' that there was a little more to life
17. This is terrible sciencing. Peyton Manning played 7,000 games in college and was as prepared to play from Day 1 in the NFL than anybody in history. What drives me crazy is people being apoplectic when you say you prefer a guy with limited college playing time to at least sit for a while to start his pro career. I think starting Mitch from week 1 would have been a mistake. I think starting him now is the right decision.
