  1. I would kill for that outcome, but I'm betting the under.

  3. Prove me wrong, Mitchell Broncos were early one point favorites although the money quickly moved the other way and now the Bears are 2.5 point favorites. Lot of people expected the Bears to be decent and thinking this will be a must win situation for them. Man, a loss here would be monumental in terms of lowering expectations. My preseason Bears win the Super Bowl bet hedged by an under 9.5 wins bet may wind up being a wash.
  4. is this in order to make it more difficult for hoyer to poach him?
  5. It will be Kaplan
  6. You don't have twitter? Oh, what the hell; he barely uses it, AND he thinks Trubisky stinks now, too? What did they do with my sulley. you gotta go to "tweets and replies" to find the good stuff
  7. Kyle and Sofa, Sofa and Kyle - one and the same? We are both stealing the “doink broke Nagy” bit from deadspin I had that story long before deadspin.
  8. Guessing you don't watch a lot of Bob Costas calls on Cubs games. Does anybody watch a lot of Bob Costas calls on Cubs games in the year of our lord twenty nineteen?
  9. He's got quite a memorable name. [tweet] [/tweet]
  10. #bam
  11. why would they settle for him?
  12. David, it is not that weird for a human being to vaguely remember a passage in a book they liked about a thing they liked lol it's weird to refer to working out as being woke. Also you're thinking of Andy Dwyer.
  13. No. Chase Daniel is hot garbage and there is no point in playing him. Make Mitch play all year, whether he sucks, struggles or improves. Yep. Next year though, would be great to bring in a young QB behind Mitch. Don't need to spend 5M again on a coach in pads. Let's get a possible contingency plan to making an average QB one of the highest paid players in the game in 2 years. Replacing Mitch with cheap, but adequate QB play is probably the only way to extend the window if Mitch isn't making that leap. It sucks with such a lack of draft picks but it's almost a requirement to draft a QB in each of the next two drafts* *assuming no dramatic turnaround from trubisky

  15. I can't be the only one who thinks if the troops wanted to they could put together a football team and cover a 22.5 point spread.
  16. Nationally televised games tend to be against tougher opponents.
  17. Multiple 9-7s may be tough, but Lovie won 7+ with Orton/Griese/Grossman repeatedly. I guess it's theoretically possible Mitch can reach Cutler levels and the Lovie/Cutler combo was well above .500 overall. The whole point in moving on from Lovie was they were done with being respectable and wanted to actually go for broke and try to be great. That didn't work out too well. Pace and Nagy are positioned to keep this organization respectable (although the lack of picks is going to hurt), and I think ownership would kill for a string of respectability again.
  18. I've always assumed that Mitch busting means Pace is gone by 2020/2021 and a new GM would come in and hire a new HC. However, I think the Bears desperately want to be more like the Steelers staying consistent with the head coach. If they can manage to avoid a truly disastrous season, winning 8-9 games, I think that Pace/Nagy has done enough with the rest of the team that it is possible they may actually give them a shot to replace Mitch. This would push off the next organizational overhaul to 2024 or beyond.
  19. And another thing, if you go out of your way to dress up all fancy like for the 100 year thing to walk into the stadium, have the balls to keep that get-up on the sideline and ditch the lame ass visor.
