    Welp, the march to the lottery resulted in the Blackhawks making their way into the lottery. They've retooled a little bit, apparently fixed up the defense some, but will most likely not be a contender this season. The window needs to be replaced. But maybe they flirt with a playoff spot this year. Who knows. They're 0-2 in the preseason so far and regular season starts in 2 weeks.

    The Bears have played two of the most boring games in history to start the season, and are somehow 4 point favorites on the road in primetime. Nobody likes Mitch but there's nobody else for the job right now. Yippee!

    1. Easier said than done. 2. He was drafted by that team this year. 3. I'm pretty sure the Bears broke Fitzmagic last year. I'm not certain he'd do any better than Chase Daniel, who is garbage. Look, we all agree the QB position has sucked and is wasting the great effort by the defense. We'd all love to get more out of the position. But this isn't picking up a reliever at the trade deadline situation. QB is a very specific position that rarely, if ever, gets improved with in season moves. There's really not much the Bears can do now, midseason, to fix the QB position unless Mitch gets better.

    Yeah, if he somehow manages to not get much jail time (hopefully hugely unlikely), I honestly would be kinda stunned if some team didn't sign him given how good he's been, unfortunately. horsefeathers, I wish I could say for sure I'd think the Cubs would never do such a thing, but... I’d be surprised if a team signed him. The kid from Oregon State would have been a top pick in the draft a couple years ago but didn’t even get drafted due to child molestation when he was 15. and the victim was 6.

    He's on the PS. But let's be honest, Bray is not the answer. Sink or swim with Mitch thus year and bring in real competition next year. Can’t just throw a season away with this D in place. The clock is ticking. If Mitch has nothing to offer they’ve got to see if they can get close to mediocre at QB. I’m not there yet but I could see benching him if another two games go by with no improvement. There is nobody they can bring in from the outside that would be competent and Chase Daniel already showed how awful he is, losing to the Giants last year. It's Mitch or nothing this year.

    Thank you. Agreed. The last decade + for every other team in that division has been among the worst in their respective histories. All this is true, and yet, the past decade has arguably been the best in Jets history.

    True. A crappy QB and dumb coach is a crappy QB and dumb coach too. I've seen this stupid season so many times and I'm so bored with it. 2001, 2005, 2006, 2012. And those are just the times it mostly worked. Are there any fun teams to root for in the NFL this year? It's the NFL there is no fun, only pain. You should enjoy it.

    They probably shouldn’t ever talk crap about any other program ever It was a stupid throwaway joke. I get it if a PSU fan says something about a program's unethical behavior, but saying Illinois sucks is not exactly controversial. As an Illinois native I enjoy any and all Illinois razzing but the only thing better is reminding PSU people how terrible they all are.
