  1. I legit liked Jay Cutler but clearly Sammy's his genetic superior as a man without diabetes Yes, the guy who missed a quarter of the season with the kissing disease is genetically superior
  2. He too can finish his career in Baltimore
  3. Thus the reason Daniel is nowhere near “important”
  4. He's also on a much less talented team (offensively, anyway). Leveon Bell Allen Robinson and a bunch of other stuff on both teams.
  5. Guessing that mainly just means they might occasionally throw them in to do something at the hotel or the rooftops or something. Probably have to take Todd and Laura out on pretend chores so the board can have meetings without them getting in the way
  6. if you had time to sit and prepare for the pitch, sure, but the video seemed to show the batter getting the info just before the pitcher goes into windup. There's not a whole lotta time to adjust to a pitch at the point, and thats where it can be detrimental to the batter rather then helpful. The only caveat is if the batter is sitting change up the ENTIRE AB and is told when one is coming, THEN he has a huge advantage. Wait, what? That's not how batting works. You don't sit there and prepare for a specific pitch for a few minutes. Knowing before release that a changeup is coming would be a huge advantage. It both allows you to sit fastball if you don't hear banging, then expect off speed once you hear it. You don't need 5 minutes to think it over.
  7. I don't know how much more anyone needs. They can see him get through his progressions better than anyone else, and they can see that his release is just about as quick as any QB that's been drafted in the last 10 years, they can see how accurate he is with his throws, they can see that he can scramble and avoid the pass rush. it's enough tape. the cool thing is in 2019 when he's got 13 NFL games on tape people will say it's way too early to make a judgement so we'll get to hear just how pumped up to see him take the next step. sulley pushing the "it's early" story for as long as possible
  8. Did you not watch the Lions game? he's too busy basking in the glory of Sam Darnold's MVP season
  9. Do not come at Mr. Pace
  10. The Bears stopped the bleeding, temporarily at least and now go out to face a Rams team that is also sitting in 3rd place in a tough division. Chicago is a 6.5 point road dog, only the 2nd time this season I can remember them entering as underdogs. Considering how ridiculously overpriced the Bears have been all season, and their 3-6 record ATS, one would think this will be a laugher in favor of the home team. But the Rams aren't juggernauting much at all this year. Los Angeles has scored ~60 more points this season than the Bears while giving up 30 fewer. They are a stoppable offense, although they have only scored less than 14 twice this year, and have gone over 30 3 times (losing one of those). If one had any remaining hopes of the Bears contending this season, that person may talk themselves into a repeat of last year's smack down in Chicago. But the defense has not looked capable of repeating that effort at any point this year, especially not with Hicks and now Trevathan sidelined. Mack will have to carry the load if they were to get this done. I'm thinking the offense will probably go three and out the first five or six possessions, giving the defense plenty of opportunity to score themselves, and in the end maybe score 12 points. We shall see.
  11. I had a Pittsburgh Atlanta parlay that stopped a recent losing streak

  14. from what I could stand listening to it was a very brief look at something and on to the next with no details and just jibberish. I didn't get halfway through the video though
  15. Who is that terrible douchebag? Don’t answer that. Just never bring it up again.
  16. I took issue with the idea that this Blackhawks team is significantly better than their start to the season suggests. They’ve been bad for a while and re essentially the same team, only older and with different bottom rung guys. Some people took issue but the worst part is suddenly jamfan responding repeatedly.
  17. No no no, that's what Cole is for. I only said Arrieta because they got Hammel and Feldman in FA where they should be shopping for the next Brewers Wade Miley, and in a Cole situation not even that important I don't know why you would be against trading for a guy who is going to win a Cy Young but right now is pitching horribly for some other team. To me that is crazy.
  18. I, for one, think the Cubs should trade for a soon to be Cy Young winner that currently sucks.

  21. Where does the money from the luxury tax go? https://www.forbes.com/sites/maurybrown/2015/12/03/breaking-down-over-400-million-in-mlb-luxury-tax-penalties-since-2003/#71c399b0541a It's possible that changed in the new CBA, but I'd guess it's similar if not identical. So tax proceeds go toward funding benefits that should be funded by the teams already.
