    That pay range seems low. But if true, it’s probably why they always bitch about who’s picking up the tab. So tired of hearing that. Pay them more so we don’t have to hear about it. I mean, they're all just trying to be Harry Caray. That's just a standard talking point for men of a certain age. The more they make the more they'd probably talk about it.

    I’ve always wondered what folks Len or JD make. Or even studio guys like Glanville. Is a guy like Glanville at least making 100k? I think there is a huge pay disparity between guys doing stupid studio shows and the PBP voice of the team. There are dozens and dozens of guys who can do that job. There are very few competent PBP guys. The best keep rising up the ranks until they get a big national gig or a major market full time job. The Cubs care very much about who is the voice of the team on the television and the radio. It is a huge part of their brand. That guy, from a very select group of people, and with a big responsibility to sell the team, is going to demand several hundred thousand.

    I think the "some reason" is because we all say he's taking a dump when he's gone. But if it was IBS, I think the regularness of it being the 5th inning wouldn't work.

    He’s a major market broadcaster for a top brand MLB team. I can’t imagine it’s less than $500,000. There are comparatively few people who can do that job credibly. It has to be highly compensated. It’s not a job where getting a couple thousand a year in side hustles is worth the effort. But selling off memorabilia you just happened to acquire in your job with a baseball team reaks of those refs that sold back their airline miles they got for their jobs.

    kevin from the office made bank but he’s not exactly a working actor. He can make a million doing cameo.

    The guy is on cameo, which is something for 80s movie stars that can’t get a gig now. He had that weird baseball voices venture selling other announcers audio? Now he’s selling junk from his collection. He has a well paying job and he’s old. He shouldn’t need all these side hustles. But he’s seemingly scrounging for $20 here and there.

    What is that? Clase Azul Reposado. Friends gave it to me for my birthday. I bought one myself when it was gone. We've gone through 4 bottles between our two houses and I'm getting ready to buy another. It's $140 - $150, so not an everyday tequila or something you mix in a margarita. But it's a great sipping tequila. Highly recommend.

    I didn't listen today, but I have honestly never noticed the ad reads being anything excessive. All the ads packed in behind home plate at Wrigley is much more offensive to me. I guess we're beyond the point of ads needing to be tasteful and now are just going to cram them in wherever there is open space. if you haven’t noticed ad reads on a radio broadcast you haven’t listened to a radio broadcast.
