  1. Isn't it sad that's a real possibility? I do not think it is a real possibility. The only possible chance is if Fields has a HOF performance. I said going into the season I thought there wasn't a playoffs or you're fired situation here. What they needed to do was make the offense look capable. Losing games 34-29 wasn't going to doom them, necessarily. But the offense has been crap all season, including in that game yesterday that was won by Glennon's incompetence. If they hang a 50-burger on the Vikings and Fields throws for 300+ yards, runs for a bunch with no turnovers, I could see a situation where George looks at the progress as justification to allow Nagy one more season. But his contract is up after next season, and if he hasn't already signed a cheap extension in secret, they aren't going to bring him back in a lame duck situation. The only other scenario is if they do hire a guy like Trace Armstrong as the big boss, and he decides to take a year to evaluate things, and chooses not to fire his client right away. That would be a strange choice.
  2. I feel you haven’t heard a thing Tessitore has said all night. I’m at the game so no.
  3. He seems fine with it
  4. Kmet is worthless. That list is small, and every team has a group like that “making things happen”. This team is extremely light on talent. Secondary is weak. Pace gets caught desperate to fill holes and overspends to do it. He’s a poor strategist. Football is filled with guys that can spot a player. You need guys who can properly fill an NFL roster with salary cap restraints. And a guy who can identify coaching talent. Pace has failed miserably at this job.
  5. aTm backing out of Gator Bowl with virus outbreak
  6. Was she on BrandMeier’s show or Kevin Matthews?
  7. They needed touchdowns.
  8. He was pretty bad in the 1st half. Loved some of the stuff he did but there was plenty to criticize.
  9. neat but this is the thread about the impending doom of tonight's bears game
  10. That’s why the mafia donates to churches
  11. It felt pretty obvious this is what he was doing. He regretted taking the job from the start. He can probably take 2 years away from the game and will be highly sought after again.
  12. Caveat, there is no such thing as a cool billionaire. He still seems cool Tons of early success but left the team at its peak. Berated underlings and allowed spousal abusers to stay in the organization. Not sure if he ever kicked a player but one of his players did lose a leg. Lot of similarities here.
  13. I don't think you can point to alternating home/away games as an unfair scheduling situation. It's not like the Bears would benefit from a bunch of home games in a row, or a long road trip. It's weird, but not a disadvantage.
  14. For the record, whenever anyone has "horsefeathers" in a quote, I like to really imagine the person (your wife in this case) actually using the word horsefeathers. Makes every post funnier. I'll introduce "horsefeathers" to her tonight I bet you will Panama red
  15. I'm assuming most fans were like me and were assuming he'd take the cowards path there. When people show you who they are, believe them. And I believe Nagy when he has shown repeatedly his conservative style.
  16. And perhaps more infamously, Brodie Van Wagenen with the Mets
  17. Oakland, Chicago for sure. Minnesota, Jacksonville seem more likely than not to have openings Fangio I'd put at 40/60 he's out, but a collapse down the stretch and their desire for a splash on offense could get him fired I think Judge is safe in NYG The wildcards are Seattle (do they fire a SB winning coach?), New Orleans (Payton want a change of scenery?), and Tampa (Arians retirement?), Is Jacksonville talk about Meyer quitting or being fired? hes pulling a costanza
