  1. are they not airing this game in Nashville? ESPN lists home, away and national TV options. A lot of them don't have a home and/or away, but they do have national. This game, and the next, is only being shown on csnc according to ESPN.
  2. I doubt it, the media loves it some crappy white guy who hustes. Not as much as they like a good story and something they can latch onto when questioning the manager/GM.
  3. I'd say 85% of the posts I've made about the Cubs have been negative, and I haven't notcied any firestorms of hate. Maybe I'm just delusional.
  4. It probably has less to do with it being against left handed pitching, and more about the fact that Theriot has sucked so far this season against everybody.
  5. Not me. I'm only freaking out due to his reasoning for dropping him. Well, this is Lou's reasoning for everything he does. And Theriot shouldn't be at the top of the lineup regardless. That being said, it makes very little difference. It's probably going to last a game or two at the most.
  6. Punch some random Mets fan in the face for me, please. Nah, I'm gonna puke on 'em.
  7. Are people freaking out because Lou is dropping Theriot in the order?
  8. I will be there, and I will hopefully be drunk by the 3rd inning.
  9. hahah, well, there is an opening Big Ben already filled it with little ben.
  10. I was fine with letting Grabow pitch, they should have used the 9th to get another guy some work.
  11. wait are you saying that it's bad for a guy's arm to warm him up but then not pitch him in a ballgame. No, it's that warming a guy up is almost the same as using him, so if he's warm, just use him and don't waste another guy.
  12. I'm assuming this is about Marmol being filthy again and not Silva being surprisingly effective.
  13. Plus the dumb play by Feliz that led to at least Theriot scoring, and quite likely the full 3-run homer that Lee had (assuming Theriot is out and Fukudome still flies out). Pretty sure Bob and all color guys says something similar after a game is only talking about their team. No, you're wrong, they talk about the play of both teams all the time. Either way it was an inacccurate statement.
  14. I dont think so, not too mad about it. I mean thats less the number of pitches he throw on an off day for a workout. So pretty much this game was like a side session. Would've been worse if he labored and threw 30 pitches Closers throw side sessions? Side sessions are for starters who sit for 4 days, not for guys who have to be ready to pitch every day.
  15. Plus the dumb play by Feliz that led to at least Theriot scoring, and quite likely the full 3-run homer that Lee had (assuming Theriot is out and Fukudome still flies out).
  16. back to .500 thanks to perfect ass, fat ass and dumb ass.
  17. If this was game 3 against against MIL I could understand, kind of. But this is the first game of this series, and you are giving Houston a free opportunity to see Marmol in a meaningless situation, when you might need him in a real situation the next 2 days.
  18. Buff was a force in the first two rounds last year. Nothing really worked in that series, and they did get overly physical.
  19. Tuesday. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/After-brief-delay-NFL-will-release-the-2010-sch?urn=nfl,234230 Thanks. My wife is trying to get me to commit to something I refuse to commit to until I know the schedule.
  20. When is this freaking schedule going to be released? It should be out by now based on past releases and recent statements.
  21. Should have drafted Brady Quinn. Or maybe not.
  22. He's had essentially the same numbers as Fukudome and Byrd, and Soriano has the same exact average. It's not like Colvin is smoking hot, or that great of a bet to be much better than any of the three. He's still Tyler Colvin. So far he has only had half of the chances of the rest. Also, any numbers are suspect due to small sample size. But, based on the numbers Colvin's OBP is over 100 pts higher than Byrd and Soriano. His OPS is over .200 higher than Soriano. And for his career he has sucked. He should have less PA than the rest. That's the only thing that makes sense. What doesnt' make sense is insisting Colvin has to play everyday. He's just Tyler Colvin.
  23. I feel Buff was a huge force in front of the net last summer. If they could move him back to forward that might be helpful. I also wouldn't be that worried about carrying over chemistry from the last 10 games, considering they haven't played for a week, who knows if that will continue anyway. I'm not hockey strategist though, so I'm not going to worry about it.
