  1. I don't see it happening. Three more wins and these guys are all back.
  2. I'd really really like to see this team sneak into a home game in week 1 and maybe win a playoff game. Because even if they stand no chance of going further, getting Cutler a playoff win would at least provide something to argue against everybody that's laying everything on him. If there is no 2011, I'm afraid this team might end up starting over all again at QB by 2012 unless they enjoy some success with Cutler.
  3. It is truly amazing how quickly he is able to change the conversation from piss poor play to injuries. Every damn time.
  4. Overkill. Not ever addressing the line for a freaking decade is overkill. I hate this stupid theory about continuity on the line. Many media members have bought into that nonsense. It's tough to keep the same 5 guys out there every game when the 5 guys aren't good enough to be on the field and need to be replaced. This is a horseshit excuse by Angelo, but given how openly and repeatedly he ignored the line in the first place (while everybody was freaking out about tight ends) it is not at all surprising that he doesn't see it as a mistake. It was inexcusable as it was happening but by the time he went after Williams it was already way too late. The Omiyale and Schaefer signings were just insulting.
  5. No, I'm not surprised. But at the same time and related to your other point I have to think that decision led to some major disappointment by the players. How much faith can Cutler have in his coaches if they are getting him killed and not reviewing touchdowns he scored that were called fumbles? If Lovie isn't doing everything he can to win games, and if he is in fact directly costing them points, players have to be irate. They probably won't say anything because they generally like how Lovie treats them in relation to how other coaches treat them, but my god, I would be livid with the head coach if he was making those decisions in a game I was playing.
  6. Why are you showing links to an XFL game?
  7. It was quintessential Lovie. The only reason I'm not flabbergasted is that it was completely predictable as it was happening.
  8. The play happens in an instant and the line of sight is not perfect. It's kind of difficult. But that is why you have instant replay and that is why you have people upstairs telling the head coach to challenge a play. The refs were horrible on multiple non-holding calls though.
  9. He had two bad throws on picks and two where his piece of crap receivers hung him out to dry. His other turnover, the fumble, wasn't a freaking fumble and instead was a touchdown. If he didn't have a complete freaking moron for a head coach they win that game and he isn't even attempting the passes he was desperate to make late since he was the only one on offense playing that game. That loss was on Lovie and it's going to go down as a Cutler game because the coach sucks, and despite the fact that Cutler kept them in the game by himself for the first half.
  10. There is plenty to say about play on field but lovie's stuupidity cost them the game. Not indirectly or theoretically. That man's incompetence lost the game. He sucks
  11. Lovie smith you mentally challenged challenger you f ing suck horse balls
  12. One thing that was emphasized is you are responsible for what happens, so intent doesn't really matter. You can not intend to grab a facemask but if you reach out and the only thing there is a facemask and you grab it, it's a penalty. Guys who play an "on the edge" style run the risk of causing damage. You can say that's how he plays and shrug your shoulders or say, well if that is how you play then when bad things happen, like your helment hitting his helmet, you will be punished. Proper tackling technique will keep you from getting into trouble. It won't prevent every dangerous hit or injury, but you will be better off than the guys who launch themselves.
  13. Well that's not an overreaction or anything. And what is the overreaction you are implying? It was a stupid point to attempt to make that reflects the stupidity of whoever made it.
  14. the difference in the bennet hit on the punter is so crystal clear that it's stupid what that idiot drew up. He's got defenders launched in the air with their head first going toward the opponents head. Bennett was on his feet and put his shoulder into the chest. It's really freaking simple, but leave it to these simpletons to not understand.
  15. His feet also never left the ground, ie. did not launch himself.
  16. Somebody's getting fined, I'd guess. Doesn't mean they're wrong, though. They are wrong. It's a pretty easy rule to follow. The launching and the initial contact being made with the helmet and/or to the opponents helmet are really easy to not do. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-videos/09000d5d81b80962/Player-safety
  17. He ended up signing a new deal, right?
  18. well said, lebron's PR Firm. Well said Fixed PR firms don't talk so unintelligently. Unless they are deliberately trying to sound the way an idiot would sound when trying to be philosophical.
  19. With Garza still not practicing, I think Webb is still going to be at RT. Hopefully, Garza is back after the BYE, Chris Williams goes back to LT, and Omiyale back to RT for the rest of the year. But that's just me speculating. With all the talk about the need for continuity, which I believe the coaches actually want, the no brainer is to put Williams at LT, Omiyale at RT and have your backup play G until Garza returns. Then when he returns that's only one change. Playing a temporary lineup until he returns and then switching up 3/5 of your line again is the complete opposite of trying to keep continuity on the line.
  20. Joe buck isincompetent. Guy was called safe at 3rd immediately and throw did not pull him off bag, he wasn't on bag. Moron
  21. Yep, the last two. He did a pretty good job in those two games too. Yeah, he really did. Did his name get on the puck? I know Hendry's didn't due to the strict rules they have. Which seems silly. what puck?
  22. Interesting, but what other option do they have? The only realistic neutral site would be San Diego.
  23. I would say it's just as much of a must win in terms of my faith in them doing anything the rest of the year. Lose back to back at home to mediocre teams and most hope is gone.
  24. lol lol @ the irony in erik posting that statement, the irony of someone saying that politics are more worthy of getting worked up about than sprots, or both? I think the former plus the notion that people don't get worked up over politics.
  25. He's not afraid to listen to his gut either.
