  1. mamas don't let your babies grow up to be exposed to pedophile enablers and apologists.
  2. he was diddling kids long before he became a former coach.
  3. Well, you know what they say, wish in one hand and crap in the other....., oh wait, nevermind.
  4. you got to protect the brand
  5. The apologists in the Linc parking lot last night had a much more level headed view of this situation than truffle.
  6. lol I know, I know, your football coach, AD and president let a predatory pedofile wander around with only a token attempt to stop him from his continued molestation and rape of children. That's not really *that* bad, is it? Most of it has nothing to do with football or the football program. there is no cause to even be punished by the NCAA, so yes, your statement was comical. All of it has a lot to do with the football program.

  8. Not reporting it immediately to law enforcement is reprehensible in my opinion, but I can't even fathom how much of a dirtbag he is if he covered it up.
  9. Bucs play at home this week so it will probably be blacked out. Then again, the Bears are on at 4:15 so they might be on no matter what Yeah, I think only the Bucs game would be blacked out. Not all NFL games. I know. I was saying if there Bears were on at 1 you might have a chance because the Bucs will probably be blacked out. But the game is at 4:15, and there are only usually 1-2 games on at that time slot, and the fact that the game was moved there 2 weeks ago makes it likely its the premier game during that time, meaning you will probably get to see the game without having to go somewhere with Sunday Ticket. what do you mean "having to go". He should jump at the chance.
  10. guys, I'm sure he didn't literally laugh out loud.
  11. I went back and looked at King's fine 15 and saw this note on the Eagles (ranked 11, three spots ahead of the Bears): As I wrote earlier, Nnamdi Asomugha is getting comfortable in the Eagles defense, and is texting and emailing his defensive coordinator during the week. Just what teams on the Eagles' schedule need -- Nnamdi getting it. Drew Magary is spot on in his ripping of King for his ridiculous columns. Why is the fact that he texts his coach during the week the least bit meaningful?
  12. With an 8.5 point spread and all the talk about Philly finally figuring it out, I absolutely expected every expert to pick them to win. I had a lot of confidence about this one and it befuddled the people at our tailgate.
  13. I'd like to think I would have gone right up to him and stopped it while in progress, but in reality I think most of us would have turned and ran out of complete confusion/revulsion. I understand having his first contact going to his father. But at that point, he and his father should have gotten law enforcement involved immediately.
  14. Part of me feels sorry for him. He can only blame Sandusky and himself here, but I do pity the man for being in the situation he's put himself in. I guess I don't have a lot of pity for him, at least not in the sense that I feel sorry for him. His inaction resulted directly in child abuse. He could have prevented it easily, there was no intervening factor that shields him from blame. If these kids were local, they probably held JoePa in this almost god-like esteem. And the man completely let them down. Clearly Sandusky is ultimately responsible, but Paterno isn't worthy of sympathy. I don't have a lot of pity, but I can't help but think some of this is related to his diminished capacities. I'm not sure a 50 year old Paterno screws this up as badly. But ultimately you can't demand to keep your job as head coach and de facto boss and let this go on.
  15. feels a little strange with the bears as favorites again. But I'm liking what I'm seeing with this team. I have issues with a lot of Lovie's coaching decisions, but there is no denying he gets them ready to play as well as any coach out there. Their resurgence seems to be tied to the embarrassment against the Lions last time, and I'm thinking revenge will be the primary motivator this tme.
  16. Bucs play at home this week so it will probably be blacked out. Then again, the Bears are on at 4:15 so they might be on no matter what Yeah, I think only the Bucs game would be blacked out. Not all NFL games. There's some fun waterfront places with the games on somewhere around there. Haven't been in a while though.
  17. i think he let down every kid that was ever assaulted by sandusky, not just those that were assaulted afterwards. Yeah, you're probably right. Instead of forcing them to struggle with the notion of reporting what happened to them on their own he could have brought it all to light much sooner, presumably taking a major weight off of their collective shoulders.
  18. I think it's a nice way of saying Boston's ownership is a joke and he doesn't want to work in that environment.
  19. Wow, anybody else surprised how open he was talking about a player under contract to another team?
  20. Huh? Its been that kind of day. Mean't Ferentz. He's had multiple opportunities to jump to the NFL, which is one reason. Plus he's provided incredible stability so they haven't had to spend resources going after other coaches and/or buying out one while hiring a new one. And his staff barely shows up on the list of assistants getting paid. Put that together with a solid bowl record, a couple big ten championships and flirtations with the top of the polls and he's probably been worth every penny.
  21. Part of me feels sorry for him. He can only blame Sandusky and himself here, but I do pity the man for being in the situation he's put himself in.
  22. I think this just shows you how much of a mistake it is to have a senile old man be the face of the entire sports department while not actually doing any coaching. This is the type of situation where you talk about accountability (as opposed to with baseball players who don't run out every ground ball) and there was none in that organization. What a freaking pathetic way to end his reign. It's a shame. Sandusky is the scum of the earth but Peterno and everybody else who had any knowledge of this situation completely let down the Penn State community and of course, especially every kid that got assaulted after they were aware it could be going on.
  23. I'm still hung over. Jay missed quite a few passes last night from where I was sitting. He had some open guys for potential big gains that he just missed. He played well overall though. Man I love beating the kiddie rapist supporting eagles.
  24. you should try it sometime you selfish bastard I would but I can't carry a fetus for a prolonged period of time you jerk. lol - so. how far along? 13 weeks
  25. Walt Whitman your bridge is glorious
