  1. He has since admitted he made the first statement without knowing the background and put himself in Twitter time-out. Dumb, dumb statment to make without familiarizing yourself at least a little beforehand. I read an article this morning that did not mention a thing about why he was fired, just that he was and that students were upset.
  2. In a small town where everybody's first instinct is to protect JoePa, Penn State, the football organization and the enitre economy that depends on it almost exclusively, potentially.
  3. How the hell is Ashton Kutcher against this move when he's supposed to be all about anti-sex abuse/prostitution.
  4. didn't he decide not to prosecute sandusky in 1998? and he disappeared in 2005. I believe there were allegations in 2004 as well. And....after two eyewitness accounts of graphic abuse of multiple children, how do you not prosecute? i just find it very hard to believe penn state arranged for the murder of a DA in order to protect a retired coach/molester. i think it's much more likely that it's a coincidence. unless the 2nd mile pimp story is true, in which a bunch of rich donors would be in need of protection.
  5. I agree, but somehow that doesn't seem to be enough. I don't think he can be brought up on charges but they need to investigate this guy at a minimum to make sure that his bank account didn't receive a single big deposit around the time this all occurred. I'm starting to think it's a big enough red flag that he has risen through the coaching ranks. I can't help but think he was motivated by his career and "protecting" the program. Of course you can't help but think that. It's obvious.
  6. Who ever called Cutler lazy?
  7. first thing he says is it wasn't so much good reporting as all of that stuff was public knowledge. This is true. This story has been around a while and for some reason media in PA completely ignored it.
  8. Isn't Madden the guy that wrote the article back in April about Sandusky?
  9. Co-signed. One of the big appeals of football is that the games are once a week. It's bad enough that there's a Monday Night game, and spreading into Thursday just makes it worse. That's a weird interpretation. I've never heard about a big appeal being only one day of the week for games. There's always been Saturdays and Sundays for football. For a very long time there has been Saturday Sunday and Monday, and for a pretty fair amount of time there has been Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I hate having my team play on a Thursday without a bye preceding, but I sure as hell don't hate that there is a game on tonight.
  10. IT WAS THEIR ARAB SPRING, only in the fall and instead of trying to overthrow a tyrannical disctator they were mad the football coach got fired.
  11. didn't he decide not to prosecute sandusky in 1998? and he disappeared in 2005. Also this weird tidbit: It would be pretty crazy if somebody involved had the guy killed. But maybe he realized he made a huge mistake in allowing PSU people to convince him not to prosecute, and he killed himself after being confronted with more evidence or victims.
  12. I'm looking for something with an edge we can sell to gangs.
  13. I have a feeling that if there is further fallout from this it could have something to do with the wife having knowledge and/or participating in or facilitating the rapes. Or maybe they tied it into the Rosie Larson case and the dungeon below the gym.
  14. I had it on last night and they definitely mentioned it.
  15. you re-brand a team when you have trouble selling tickets and getting viewers, not when you are one of the most iconic brand in sports.
  16. The NFC North is dominating the NFC South head-to-head this season. In my opinion the NFC South is the second best division in the NFC behind the NFC North... By default. The AFC appears to be the superior conference this year, at least 2 of the NFC divisions are pretty bad. I don't think the South is that great either. NO is pretty good, but Carolina stinks, Tampa is schizophrenic and I'm not sure about Atlanta either. How do you even come close to this assumption?
  17. Will Saturday's game be mist watched psu game ever, or least?
  18. Jesus espn, you are pathetic
  19. Hilarious or a ramifications of screwing the proverbial pooch?
  20. Rece Davis clearly on the apologists' side
  21. The guy who answered questions at the conference did well answering those idiots
  22. That is fair and reasonable. I do feel bad for supporters of the program who thought Joe was better than this. I was responding to truffle who has been much less rationale than you about this subject. I used to admire psu and the program. It sucks and aside from all the real victims of sexual assault there are people whose lives have been turned upside down.
  23. you'll probably find your nsbb experience will be enhanced by not reading goony's posts any more. Or you may find your college football watching experience enhanced by not supporting a child rape enabler
  24. Interesting iPhone edits
  25. He's it on bail so that wouldn't be crazy. Although I don't know how frequently peeresses kill themselves. Is it their thing to stay alive and see all the crap they destroyed?
