I don't understand how one could be shocked when that very story line has been discussed all offseason to date. That's what people are expecting. It would hardly be shocking. Because it's never happened before with this franchise at the WR position. I don't see how anyone could not be shocked, regardless of storylines. It's one thing to talk about something like that, and quite another for it to actually happen. In 2005 the Bears signed the biggest FA WR available in Moose, and drafted Mark Bradley 39th overall. That's not that far a stretch from what we are talking about now. And that was back when QB was still unsettled. They have their QB now. They think they have their line mostly settled. They know they desperately need WR help and they lost their most productive WR of the past three years to a potentially career ending injury. It's not shocking, nor should it be shocking. You'd have to have your head in the sand to be shocked by something like that happening.
