    i was with you about a week ago...but now i have that feeling again...i fully believe this will be done in the next two weeks... i think this team will really take off with the addition of BRob...the diversity it give us in allowing derosa to supersub will be very beneficial

    i actually think the reds are a dark horse this season...we always have a hard time with them...and this year it is going to be a little tougher... don't count them out just yet

    Something has to be happening. I think the Cubs have too many pieces they value but nowhere to put them. Murton, Marshall, Cedeno, Patterson and a handful of other guys who could net value in trade. I'd be on board with getting Roberts and Burnett or Harden, although Harden seems like a stretch considering Oakland really has no reason to move him at this point. plus getting something from billy beane is not easy and will take a lot

    mark me down for really wanting brian roberts listening to that piniella interview has really got me all giddy like a school girl for this season to start... i mean...the players may not be where we want them to be...but...we truly do have a talented baseball team and a dangerous baseball team judging by the comments concerning their embarrassing exit from the playoffs last season... things will work themselves out i really think that if soriano's leg is indeed not quite 100%, this BRob trade could be going down soon...that might force hendry's hand to give up something he was reluctant to give up in the first place because if we take soriano out of the leadoff spot...who would bat there instead? theriot?!?!? yikes!

    Yeah kinda bizarre that he would accept a non-guaranteed chance to be a 25th man over a guaranteed deal to likely be the starting SS. Can the lure of winning be that great with this man? say what you want about cintron but those are the kind of players i want on my 2008 cubs this is the year we take out the trash :club:

    i have a feeling woody will be the closer at some point in the season...he may not start there but he will most likely end up there... just a gut feeling

    Those aren't the names being tossed around at this point. I would have to say that when the talks between Hendry and MacPhail started that these were the names brought up. It would seem to make sense that since this time the names have changed. You have to remember that when MacPhail started discussions with the M's about the Bedard deal that 3 names were quickly agreed upon by both sides but it took awhile to agree on the other two. I would have to say that this deal if made is going to take awhile as I am sure both sides are throwing out names as to who would be involved. ;) Dumb question. Does Hendry know that Sean has lost 25 pounds? what does all the winking mean? :scratch:

    I expect Scarlett Johansson to come knocking on my door looking for her next boyfriend by the end of the week, but if history is any indicator there are some things in life that just aren't as probable as our expectations oh...how those lips of hers could please me :grin:
