  1. you have watched him pitch so far this year right? he has terrible location and control
  2. another week or so...that is crazy talk...the cubs are going to go on a wild winning streak and never lose until the season is over!!! :clapping:
  3. i am going to go ahead and say that if IF he gets traded...there is no way in hell it is to the cubs
  4. tell fukudome sorry for breaking our promise and put him in centerfield. Or, Soriano could still cover enough ground in CF to not be a liability. He tweaked his leg hopping in LF. I don't need to see him diving for balls in CF. He tweaked his leg. It happen to be with a hop, but it's not like an injury like that one wasn't going to happen if he didn't hop. It just happened to be at that moment. Like it's been pointed out, it's not like the difference between CF and LF is a vast one. And hell, to get Holliday onto the team, I'd even consider moving Soriano back to 2nd for a season or two. Gonzo idea, sure, but man, that lineup is delicious. winner
  5. i bet you the red sox make a strong run after him... but you know who would be awesome to see get mr. matt? the rays talk about a nasty NASTY outfield
  6. i am waiting for the inevitable soriano back to 2nd post
  7. I'm gonna go kill myself. it isn't the worst signing of all-time guys
  8. i agree...i have no idea why marshall isn't our long man...well actually i do...we HAVE to have a LOOGY!!!! whatever...all in all not terrible...but i would much rather have gallagher still down in AAA and ascanio up here now
  9. Yeah, if you're interested in winning this crappy division with 86 wins and then getting destroyed in the playoffs. If our rotation is struggling, then how about instead of trading for a second baseman, we trade for a pitcher? Is that such a radical idea? i am with you ross
  10. i think the boy needs to be sent down and will be sent down i read on yahoo that marshall might be taking over in the rotation and that sucks if lieber doesn't get the nod i am going to be pissed whatever...cub's management is just beyond confusing...so, i suppose i won't really be surprised
  11. i was personally hoping we could swing a deal for burnett at the deadline, i would be absolutely pissed off if the brewers got him
  12. he got a stinger in the wrist, he's fine thank you god...i almost had a heartattack reading the last two pages and trying to figure out what happened
  13. um...are you serious? is aramis hurt badly...is there any report on him!?
  14. Shouldn't have thrown beer on him [-X Classy Brewer fans. He's absolutely 100% right about what he said. Of course, coming to say it here as though we have anything to do with that is sort of lame. will someone please clarify if it was during that exchange that he got beer thrown on him?
  15. No he hasn't actually. He started off 5-10, but is 0-7 since with 5 strikeouts and a GIDP. why is everyone slamming on pie? he didn't start today... so...what exactly did you want him to do? his at bat to end the inning was a disaster either... i am confused
  16. why exactly... because there is no reason to give up on wood right now and marmol is better suited for tight situations at this point and with the current configuration of the bullpen
  17. Shouldn't have thrown beer on him [-X they threw beer on him? didn't see that...
  18. Come on, man. He had a horrible game today. Inexcusably awful. okay, so... So I can understand why anyone would be frustrated with Wood hitting batters and crapping his pants on the mound. yeah but what is inexcusable? he had a bad game. if we're going to kill people for that then lilly and soriano should already be dead. exactly...the ZONE was a big issue today...the ZONE was so wacky that all of the hitters were swinging at crap they would never swing at normally because of the ZONE not saying it was the only reason we lost, just that it played a big part today
  19. may i just say that my hate has grown for braun today...i guess my level of hatred towards that prick has no bounds...btw...did you guys notice the cubs fan flip him off as he was walking back to the dugout...that made me laugh!!! oh...and for UMP...jesus christ man!!! one of the most horrid zones i have ever EVER seen!!! thanks punk!
  20. um...wow...this is a situation where i wouldn't mind getting coco... holy crap holy crap holy crap!!!! although, with all of the brian roberts nonsense this offseason...i am somewhat in the "yeah right" boat on this one...but i think that is a good thing... the brian roberts deal stole a little piece of my soul... :blackeye:
  21. we aren't really starting the dunn and griffey hopeless prayers again are we?
