No, the Cubs don't. They have an Ankiel in Iowa whose potential may yield number 2. Not even close to the same thing. thank you...at least i am not the only one who feels this way... don't get me wrong...i like rich hill...but all we truly have seen from him are flashes of promise...nothing sustained... That's just plain old wrong. Nothing sustained? Absurd. seriously. he was probably the Cubs' best pitcher for about a year and a half. he has also always been a very lucky pitcher i don't trust him to be a 2 starter...maybe if he could develop one more pitch or possibly two...then the kid could be nasty...until then he walks a tightrope -
sweet...as much as i wanted to win last night...i must say i am relieved that this isn't a thread calling the team the super-ultra-mega-behemoth cubs... nonsense... on the other hand...what the hell is wrong with calling them the cubbies?!??

Not even close to the same thing. thank you...at least i am not the only one who feels this way... don't get me wrong...i like rich hill...but all we truly have seen from him are flashes of promise...nothing sustained...and this year has been god awful... yeah...maybe he will come back soon and be useful...i think everybody here will be happy with that result...but that still doesn't mean that the rotation couldn't use a very nice boost come the deadline... i knew this rotation was solid heading into the season (thinking OPR would be solid) but i also knew that it was our greatest need as well i think i said it before and people jumped all over me here pitching wins championships...period

When's he gonna start pitching like it? Probably when the Cubs decide to stop screwing around with him. i really can't allow myself to blame this on the organization it is hill's fault...whatever his problem is... hopefully he can figure it out and come back up to the big club, until then...we have to look elsewhere

oh my good god, i love this team!!! *disclaimer* i am slightly drunk...i realize what i am saying...but i feel confident enough expressing these sentiments... i haven't gotten this feeling from a team since the bulls...you know...THOSE bulls... ok...i will shut up now ;)

so, in regards to the "interference" call...if barrett steps into the throw at second and derosa's backswing makes contact with him...that can still really be interference?

anyone paying any attention to burnett at all should realize that he has done nothing but improve since opening day... i will take sabathia...but i don't count out the indians i have wanted burnett since november... even though this is speculation or whatever...this is great news...as long as everybody stays healthy...i have faith that hendry will make a good deal for this team and then i will probably not be able to sleep for 3 months

i just got home from the store just starting drinking a glass of merlot and when i saw Z catch that throw back from blanco barehanded i about lost it seriously...sometimes his breakdowns are absolutely hilarious!!!

In the yahoo league i am currently in...a little bit of a *debate* has been brewing over waiver move limitations, trade move limitations, wins, and IP... the league is set up having a max 26 waiver moves and 10 trade allotments... i am for an increase *this isn't a mid-season request though* in waiver and trade moves next year... the reasoning behind the limits as they are have been: people will "stream" pitchers, people will have 100 guys on their team at the end of the season, and it takes away from the strategy of the game... ok...strategy...maybe...but...i still don't buy the other two... what are you thoughts? how do you like leagues to be ran? i am just curious because i want to set-up the best possible league next season
