  1. I don't understand the undying love for Dunn around here. He's a terrible left fielder that strikes out 180+ times a year. Yeah he gets on base, but what's he going to do when he's up in a pressure situation against a good closer... STRIKE THE F**K OUT!!! I'd love to see his numbers against a pitchers that are considered above average. He also scores/drives in over 200 runs per year. Who needs that?
  2. Yeah.......I'm sure he'll get past Bowden and the Nationals. Uh no.
  3. Go Cubs. Was it really necessary for you to take a shot at Vance? I didn't realize remindimg someone of someone else's request was "taking a shot" at someone. Tim wants less profanity in the game thread. My apologizes.
  4. Considering Dopirak has already been at AA, your "prediction" would be pretty meaningless, now wouldn't it? Do you post just for the sake of posting most of the time, or do you ever have actual content to contribute? Just curious. " " You can kiss my ass too. And that's what makes you the best poster on the site. Hey Vance, kiss my ass. Go Ed Hansen. Me Gone.
  5. Sosa's not coming to the Cubs. Let it go.
  6. Only problem is that we'd be paying the price the Reds want for Dunn, and I don't think we want to do that for Church + Rauch. Not really if the Nationals put in a couple pieces for the Reds.
  7. To get the best return they could. The reason they would trade him isn't primarily for monetary reasons. Well if that's the best return the Reds can get, then I'd hold onto him.
  8. "Adam Dunn To The Nationals? Surprisingly, with roughly four hours to ago, Adam Dunn's most likely suitor still appears to be the Washington Nationals. Will Carroll says that Dunn would love to be reunited with good friend Austin Kearns in Washington, and might sign an extension there. He could become the face of the franchise. The problem is that the Nats don't have what the Reds want, so a third team would have to get involved. Just speculating, but I could see some bad blood lingering between the two teams over the Gary Majewski thing. That has to make you wonder how Wayne Krivsky would ever let Dunn end up in Washington. Maybe he and Jim Bowden can let bygones be bygones." mlbtraderumors
  9. Why would the Reds take on any of Griffey's salary.
  10. That's it. I actually saw it on CNNSI.com
  11. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?n=Matthew%20Maloney&pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=476011 I like it.
  12. Reds get AA LHP Matt Maloney in return.
  13. There are rumor's going aroung about the possibility of Griffey going back to Seattle. Nothing is near done, but apparently there is a real possibility of it happen. This is from the Reds' beat writer's blog: I don't think it will happen, but stay tuned.
  14. Dunn http://www.examiner.com/a-849685~Player_of_the_Week__Manny_Ramirez.html http://www.mlbtraderumors.com Castillo to Mets? http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-2/118551043316250.xml&coll=1
  15. That would be a bad deal for the Cubs.
  16. I'll be on my way out east, but I will leave this little tidbit for you all. Go Reds.
  17. They were both injured in the 4th inning? yeah, Felix had a quad problem, and apparently Kroeger hurt something after a swing. If he hurt something in his swing, why did he play the field 2 more innings before being pulled in the 4th without having another AB? That's fishy.
  18. He's full of (crap). That's a lie. They both got hurt at the same time? Yeah right.
  19. lol Dumber then half the things said on here.
  20. Not really. They were facing a team with the second worst pitching in the PCL (5.20 ERA) had a man on first with two outs in the 4th and a 7-2 ballgame when Pie got pinch-hit for. That's not a situation where you would suddenly pull your starter because it was a blowout. Exactly.
  21. Well thanks for that addition - I'd think that would seem to change everything and suggest there may be no move? No? Not thru 3 innings. You don't pull guys after 3 innings, no matter what the score. 6 runs with 6 innings left is plenty of time.
