  1. What was the score when they were taken out? 7-1, but it was the top of the 4th.
  2. Patience. It took like 3 hours from the time the Jacque to Marlins rumor was leaked until it became public. Btw, Kroeger was playing 1B tonight. So any thoughts of an OF collison can be thrown out.
  3. It would have to be. Either that or Soriano goes back to CF.
  4. Agreed with that sentiment. We'd need to be confident we could resign Adam. Quick question, is there any chance this means absolutely nothing? No callup, no trade, nothing? Because that seems hard to believe. Barring the HIGHLY unlikely chance that both were injured, I would have to say no. This may be a very big night (or next day) for the cubs. PS- If it's Tex, I'm going to cry. Where would we play Tex? He's only a first base/DH right? He's played right field. When? (I didn't go past this year, but all his at bats were 1b and DH...not that I"m against it at all...just curious) Played in 25 games in the OF in 2003, amd 7 in 2005. Also played some 3rd base in 2003. He's one of the guys athletic enough I could see switching positions, unliek Glaus and Dunn.
  5. Pie/Kroger got pulled in middle of a night game. Jones did not. PIE AND KROEGER FOR CONINE!!!!!!!!111111 lol, obviously I am kidding.
  6. I wonder how far apart time-wise this happened in relation to Pie getting pulled. DUDE. Ramirez was pulled in the middle of today's game too. They're trading EVERYONE!! Dumatrait was pulled alittle before 8, and Pie and Kroeger were pulled at 8:30. As I said, the odds are they have nothing to do with each other.
  7. Alright well if you mention it maybe they will have some rumors to pass out. Yeah, or worst case maybe he looks into it.
  8. Btw, the Reds AAA team pulled their starting pitcher (Phil Dumatrait) after 5 innings and only 55 pitches tonight. That may be (and probably is) stretching it, but I figured I'd point it out. He could be getting the callup to the Reds to replace a pitcher being traded. Or he could just be getting called up for some of the waste we have in our bullpen.
  9. Agreed with that sentiment. We'd need to be confident we could resign Adam. Quick question, is there any chance this means absolutely nothing? No callup, no trade, nothing? Because that seems hard to believe. Is there any chance? Sure, there is always a chance. However for two guys to both get pulled in the 4th inning of a game that isn't a blowout seems to point to something. I'll be shocked if this leads to a dead end.
  10. I wouldn't do Dunn for Pie straight up, as a Reds fan. I have no idea what we would do with Pie and Kroeger either. Only thing I can think of is Votto to LF, Pie in CF, and Kroeger at 1B. We still have Conine and Hatteberg as well. Im sorry My point was we still have to move those guys.
  11. Yahoo I hope that means Tex. Also, if he hasn't asked for permission, how is it so widely known that the Cubs are an acceptable place of destination? He's said he would accept a deal to Chicago or Atlanta, despite what the article said. Maybe the guy had the Dunn to Chicago thing right on Tuesday, but I doubt it.

  13. The Floyd thing happend after they were pulled.
  14. DeRosa is supposed to play tomorrow. Petrick won't be sent down because we need 12 pitchers. Fox being sent down is the most logical thing. And then of course, there can always be a trade. Fox may be most logical, but who is the other guy going down then?
  15. Ok, it's hard for me to believe that's a coincidence. Did they collide into each other in the OF? If you look at the inning before, there was a strike out, a pop out to EPatt, and a fly out to Murton, so I doubt that is it.
  16. Ok, it's hard for me to believe that's a coincidence.
  17. Could be a trade, too. Yeah I though of this as well. Salty coming to Chicago? Willis coming to Chicago? Texeria coming to Chicago? Could be one of the major's guys was traded (Jacque), and he's coming up for him. Reds get on this case. :) I wasn't trying to imply anything, just floating out the possibility. Maybe it's that Dunn deal (probably not). If I hear anything, I'll certainly post it.

  19. Works for me, but then where does DeRo go, RF, SS? Maybe a trade? The Cubs could have an IF of Patterson, Fontenot, Theriot and Cedeno next year. That would be ugly. Do Ramirez and Lee die or something?
  20. 2007 Brewers--see Reds circa 2002, 2004, 2006
  21. Glad we can help. Now it's time to sweep you. :P
  22. Phillips makes a very good play at SS. Reds win. Time to take 3 of 4 tomorrow morning.
