For what it's worth, I ran track and cross country back in the day. I took a year off after high school before going to college (I had a scholarship, but needed the break). During my year off, I trained every day twice a day. Then one day, my hamstring went "POP" and my face hit the track pretty quickly. It wasn't the worst hamstring injury ever, but it was more severe than what it appears Soriano suffered. My point to all this though is that I could walk just fine with the injury, but once I'd try move faster or use any "strength" I would feel like I was going to collapse. So when Soriano walked off on his own power, I was still a bit scared...
