  1. I think it's definitely an adjustment period. Reading recaps that say "loud line drives" and of his 2nd HR leads me to believe it's more of a blip though and he will start elevating the ball again more frequently.
  2. Raw, impressed by your positional rankings. Would like to see you do another Bears' mock if you've had any changes in thought. I've had a feeling rounds 1 and 2 are gonna go WR/LB or vice versa for a while now and Brown/Wheaton fits that ideal. WalterFootball is doing a live mock right now. Has Eifert to the Bears at 20, but from what I've been reading he may not be available by then.

    Rizzo

Who plays 1b in the meantime? He's producing even while working things out in the bigs, too early for the send him down and let him work on his mechanics thing.
  4. I had an internal chuckle at "Yeah, whatever" and "BLOCKERS..." For me, it went downhill after going full derp.
  5. I really like (with my very limited knowledge) rounds 2 and 3 in this draft. I hope a good offer to trade down comes to them. I'd like to see them grab someone like Travis Frederick, Larry Warford, Barrett Jones or David Quessenbery type in the 2nd or 3rd (if they gain a pick). Slauson helps considerably this year, but they still have the need for a young interior lineman. Garza needs replaced. After their FA spending, they can just go with their highest graded guys. So they may very well end up passing on OL. Like any draft, there are so many ways it can go. As of now, my best guess is they add an offensive weapon with one of their 1st 2 picks. Whether its TE or WR. Someone they can run out of the slot like Eifert in the 1st or Swope in the 2nd. The defense is getting older, but the offense is in need of more help.
  6. Wow. I want video. Sucks he will be suspended though.
  7. That would be a beautiful scenario. Here's to hoping. I'd love to grab Mathieu in the 4th, but would have to go with Goodwin over him as well.
  8. Another vote for Warford.
  9. Patterson is a lot of talent to get at pick 20. Could not complain about that selection.
  10. Schierholtz = unstoppable OBP machine
  11. Do they really though? Better not be 1st round. The only guys on roster who can play guard are Gabe Carimi, James Brown and Edwin Williams (oh, and Roberto Garza but then who starts at center?). I'm barely comfortable with Carimi starting let alone Brown or Williams. Losing Louis hurts the interior line for sure. James Brown is someone who may step up and eventually become a starter in the league, but for now he's likely still backup material, and may always be. I like Carimi's potential at G, but there's the injury risk. OG has to be drafted in round 1 or 2. Rd 2 has some G prospects who can start for the Bears from day 1, like Warford or Kyle Long. With the depth at WR and OG in the first 2-3 rounds, I wouldn't mind seeing them trade down for an extra pick, if the opportunity presents itself.
  12. I agree with Walter Football that Austin doesn't make it past 16. But the 1st 3 rounds are loaded with WR's that fit the Bears' need. With Emery's drafting history, I have little doubt a WR isn't selected in that range, like Wheaton or Bailey.
  13. Can Louis play center? Seems like a good in-house option to try, if he re-signs, and provided they draft OG in the 1st or 2nd round. I think Carimi and one of the 1st round OG prospects could make the Bears above average at both G positions.
  14. He's always injured and terrible in pass protection. I'd rather just draft an OG.
  15. Moderately surprised and happy with these moves. I really like Bennett, he will be a very solid piece to this offense and their aggressiveness in signing him early clearly shows the brass' confidence in that theory. The remaining cap will likely be used to resign our own free agents, like Hayden, Idonije, Roach. I'd be thrilled to see them add an interior OL, but I have a feeling they are willing to move ahead to the draft with the pieces they have. Despite his poor performance I would like to see Urlacher back, as long as he budges on $. I could see Roach bolting, he is drawing a lot of interest. Don't want a glaring LB hole to open up.
  16. Yup. This guy is a disgrace.
  17. http://cdn1.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1321811/JOEY-CRAWFORD.gif Joey Crawford is such a tool.
  18. Yay. I'm getting really drunk for this one.
  19. Even with Dalton's rise, I would still go RG3. I need help with 2, if anyone is willing: Mikel LeShoure or Danario Alexander Stafford or Carson Palmer
  20. Pretty much this. Might not be ready by opening day and could easily struggle for quite a while. My hopes aren't very high on his trade value for the 2013 deadline. Of course we have to roll with the health concerns these days.
  21. Unless he plays a powerhouse D such as Tennessee or Washington, unfortunately. Complete redzone phantom, and when he returns a kick it's called back. For my team's sake, coinciding with Jennings' refusal to ever be healthy again, I hope his luck bounces back and there's a second half surge.
  22. I wish I had Squally's options. I'd go Vjax and Wallace. I picked up Titus Young off the WW. I have some high hopes for this guy the rest of the way with Burleson out of the picture. But I don't know if I can start him over A. Brown/LeShoure/Fjax.
  23. I just wrote a long post about the Pacers. The board did not like this idea and thus eradicated it from being posted. I should have known better. So I'll just say good comeback, please improve a lot offensively. And the Raptors are heading in the right direction with Valencuinas and Lowry.
  24. 1 vote for Gordon and 1 for Jackson. Pretty much where I'm at. I'd go with Jones.
