  1. Outside of one hot stretch, no, this team hasn't been much fun to watch.
  2. There are anti Hendry, fire Hendry, Hendrys killing this team comments all over this board by a lot, a lot of posters, but for some reason, you decide to go full force about this one. Ive never claimed to know whats going on in the Cubs front offices. granted, there are those who seem to think they know a bit more than they possibly do. I actually find you quite entertaining at times but seriously, I think you over reacted to that one comment. I think you're kidding yourself about it just being one comment. That one comment is pretty much reflective of your posting style, and I can see why that style would grow old on some people pretty quickly.
  3. I tend to agree. I think upgrading at second with someone like Durham makes far more sense.
  4. What's to like about Beltre? Beltre's defense is scary good. And his bat really is above average for his position. Those two things combined make him a solid player, albeit an overpaid one.
  5. Wow. I know they're not a division rival or anything, but this stings.
  6. Well, that came out of no where. Hopefully it doesn't go through and we swoop in.
  7. That was stupid, Soriano's just gonna get walked.
  8. Part of it is that he's 26, but also there's no position to put him at. He'd have to produce like crazy on offense (which he might, but it's no sure thing) to make up for his defense. If we could find a way to trade DLee (which we can't) the option would arise to platoon Fox at 1B with Hoff, but that's not open right now. I'm not sure where the idea that Hoff needs a platoon partner comes from. At this point, Fox could really use a place to play. I'd like to know just how bad he is at third. Given that he's still in the minors, I'd imagine it's pretty bad.
  9. But his lumber at the plate makes it worth it Too bad he can't play third in Rammy's absence.
  10. Hoff definitely lumbers around in the outfeild.
  11. If Guzman keeps pitching the way he has, we have a pretty solid 7-8-9.
  12. At least I don't think we're going to have to worry about Wells replacing Marshall in the rotation.
  13. I'm very interested to follow his progress, that's for sure.
  14. I just took it today, as we got it as a mother's day present for my mom. For anyone who hasn't taken it, do it! It's awesome and while I can't speak for every tour guide, the one I had was awesome. And he had a few awesome stories. http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs024.snc1/4267_724513901319_14824290_42457967_1955459_n.jpg The on deck circle. http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs013.snc1/4203_724513836449_14824290_42457966_4025143_n.jpg The dugout. http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs024.snc1/4267_724513751619_14824290_42457964_1210456_n.jpg The home clubhouse (much nicer than the visitors!) That's only a few of many awesome pictures from an awesome day.
  15. Flipped from the Bulls game to see that last pitch. Thought that was gonna sneak into the outfeild.
  16. Playing like a man possessed!
  17. Boy am I glad to be back in Chicago and able to watch this team. I've missed a lot of good basketball, by the look of it.
  18. Where did you go? Australia for a few months.
