  1. Not to hijack the thread, but I know I wasn't alone in wanting to explore acquiring Swisher in the offseason to play right field. He's been solid every year but last year. Right now it's looking like it'd be a pretty good move, as he's hitting damn near .500. Even if he just has a pretty average season, I'd say it was still a pretty stupid trade by Kenny Williams considering how much they gave up for him. His power, patience, and durability sure would look good in the Cubs lineup right now.
  2. I'm pretty sure that Kevin Gregg has lost his job.
  3. He's still yet to have a decent outing.
  4. If Gregg was to blow this, I'm pretty sure he'd lose his job.
  5. What about them? Sounds gay (seriously).
  6. With a runner on third and less than two outs? Absolutely not.
  7. I think everyone is on board with you here. I'm not really sure how I'd do it. All three of the options you mentioned sound pretty good. Soriano Fukudome Ramirez Bradley Soto Fontenot Lee Theriot That's probably how I'd do it.
  8. Is anyone saying otherwise? And come to think of it, how long did Soriano last in the two hole last year before Lou made the switch? Three games? Maybe Gregg won't have much longer.
  9. I can't believe that Lou would make a switch this early.
  10. It had to be done. Is he going to stick in the role? It's only been four games, but he hasn't looked good in any of his appearances.
  11. Well crap. Here I was all excited to be 3-1.
  12. They didn't mention it on the radio; what did Soriano do, exactly?
  13. The radio is behind, but the "FU Soriano" makes me think he dropped a fly ball.
  14. Thanks for the info about Harden's start, guys. Glad to hear it went well. I wish I could've seen some of the stirkeouts.
  15. Beautiful! For those of us that didn't catch the game until now, how did Harden look? His line sure looks excellent.
  16. At least Bill Hall isn't very good. :good:
  17. I'll be the first to say picking Patton over Gaudin was stupid.
  18. MLB.tv is FINALLY working without much of a hitch.
  19. Didn't see this or I would've posted earlier. Who would you consider the greatest threat to the Cubs in the NL Central, the Cardinals or the Brewers? What about the Reds? Thanks Len.
  20. Is anything other than speculation leading to talk of Marmol being hurt?
  21. It's hard to be too concerned right now.
  22. When is the last time the Cubs have started a season 2-0? It feels like it hasn't been for years and years.
  23. Gregg, I'd like you very much if you got a DP here.
  24. If there's a time to bring Marmol or Gregg in, this looks like it.
