  1. I know we need more runs, but I really don't want Hill to get out of the game here.
  2. Guys, I love Hill as much as the rest of you, but can we stop crucifying Z? He's off to a slow start. He's still a great pitcher.
  3. Unfrigginbelievable. Picked off three times.
  4. Which is why my daughters first game will be at Miller Park to see the Brewers. My wife thinks I'm crazy b/c I will not allow any Cubs clothes be given to our new born. The Brewers aren't exactly the model of a successful franchise. At least make them Yankees fans!
  5. I completely missed Lou's press conference? What was said?
  6. The problem with Barrett isn't blocking as much as it is not being able to locate the ball if something goes wrong. Hopefully that Biggio error can get a rally going.
  7. So am I the only one that hasn't abandoned the season yet?
  8. I know Izturis can't hit, but thank God we've got him for his glove!
  9. I'm not as wildly opposed to Jones hitting second as everyone else here seems to be. Granted, he's not the ideal two hitter, but Soriano isn't the ideal one hitter either. Might as well give Soriano some protection with power. Besides, it should help Jacque to bat between Soriano and Lee.
  10. I'll agree with that one. There's no reason to have Theriot in right and DeRosa at second. Switch them around if you really need to play both of em, Lou. DeRosa's much better in the outfield than Theriot.
  11. I'm just glad to have a manager who actually.. you know, manages.
  12. Mark had some decent at bats today. Granted, you never want them to end with a strikeout, but it's not like he was just flailing away up there.
  13. I'll be making it to my fourth straight home opener. Should be a good one. If the Cubs are going to have a successful season, we're going to have to beat teams that we should beat at home. .500 on the road is fine and dandy, but we need to take care of business at Wrigley.
  14. With his stuff today, Wade wouldn't have been effective against the Memphis Redbirds.
  15. That should do it. At least we won the series against a tough Brewers team.
  16. I love Barrett, but he might be the worst defensive catcher in baseball.
  17. Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm hoping for an Izzy PH appearance. Might as well play the hot hand, right?
  18. ...rough. If we want a sweep, I guess we'll have to go through Francisco Cordero.
  19. Come on Mark! With Floyd up next, I'm not opposed to a bunt here.
  20. Hopefully Turnbow's struggles from last year continue today. I'd kill to get this baby tied up this inning.
  21. Solid inning. Let's get another rally going!
  22. How is the Brewers bullpen this year? I know they've got Cordero in the 9th, but is the rest of it strong?
  23. There goes the shutout. If Lee can blast off here, man oh man have we got a game again.
  24. If we can just get a couple of runs this inning we'll be right back in the game. Let's go guys!
