    You...do know that that's really low, right? Oh man, I missed that sentence. Fanatic, you might NOT want to mention that when you're trying to compliment Theriot. By comparison, Juan Pierre had a stellar .330 OBP in his one year in Chicago. The fact is noted and it won't be used again but just for the rest of you: Khalil Greene last year had a stellar .291 OBP last year. But what was his slugging and such? You put Greene in Wrigley, he will dwarf Theriot in every category minus OBP. His OPS would probably be close to 200 points higher. They are two different players, Theriot is a total slap hitter. Khalil isn't exactly a power hitter, but they have different approaches at the plate. You can't use OPS to compare to slap hitters. Yes, you can. OPS informs you that slap hitters generally suck. It does just this for Theriot. I LOVE Ryan Theriot, by the way. But this thread is hilarious.

    Unless we are moving one of Howry, Marmol or Wuertz, I dont understand why we would want Lahey. He'd be nothing more then a throw-in in a trade and that team would still have to keep him on the big league roster. They could have just picked him themselves if they wanted him that bad. Then asked the Cubs for some other prospect. I think I am going to stop trying to understand anything we do at this point. Relievers are the easiest type of player to stash on a big league roster. ETA: Shane Lindsay wasn't selected by anyone. Call me braindead, but what exactly is your definition of ETA? I've always associated ETA with Estimated Time of Arrival, but that doesn't make sense where you have it. You're braindead. But I have no idea what he means by ETA here.

    If this really is just waiting on Angelos, I'd think it's going to get done.

    The only bad thing is that it takes away a good backup 3rd baseman unless they put Theriot or Cedeno at SS. I wish Ward could play 3rd or right. Rammy gets hurt; play DeRo at third, Theriot at short.

    You know, DeRo has played quite a bit of shortstop in his major league career. I don't think we can rule out the possibility that they might want him at short on a regular basis.

    Prior, Pie and Cedeno is too much. It sounds like Cedeno is in the Roberts package anyway, and that deal is probably all but done except for Angelos approving the deal. Whoa, whoa. It is? Any word on who is going to go Baltimore's way?
