While, I can't argue with the Cubs being the biggest disappointment in baseball, I have to go with Cleveland as baseball's biggest disappointment, and here's why: Their talent level, is much higher then the Cubs (eveyrbody knew before the season, Hendry buiilt a 4th/5th place team), at a lower cost. They were predicted by most pundits to be the serious threat to the White Sox, not the Tigers or the Twins, and the Indians failed miserably. So, I will say the Indians have been a bigger disappointment. Agreed for the same reasons you stated. I would put the Indians first and the Cubs second on the list of biggest disappointments. angels, red sox, braves, phillies - all bigger disappointments than the cubs I think. probably the astros too and in some sense the cardinals. the brewers were quite a flop too though they seemed more like a trendy pick.
