You sound like me. I actually haven't paid much attention to my total score so much as my disaster holes (3 or more above par - I max at 8), doubles, bogeys, pars, and birdies. My goal is to play bogey golf so I track that as well. I think writing it off as a disaster and moving on makes it easier to recover. The best feeling for me is flighting a long approach shot on to the green. With regard to learning, I think everyone is different so lessons are better for some than others. Totally agree that one thing at a time is the most helpful and then take time to work on it. The range is great for beginners in my opinion and hit one club for multiple balls until you can hit 5-10 in a row reasonably well. When you get better, you can switch clubs at the range to make it more like a round (but cheaper and less time consuming). For me, I learned a ton online especially regarding grip and stance. Then I took a lesson and the instructor identified my problem but not how to fix it so I read online and found something that worked for me. I'll probably take another lesson once I correct that first problem he identified.

I think Bayern is too good. We'll see though in UCL. Bayern is just so fast AND skilled.

I'm with you squally! I just started playing regularly a couple months ago. Broke 90 today for the first time (on an easy course). Felt especially good because I parred the last two holes! I do agree on hitting every putt - something about finishing and when you do play more "seriously," you'll feel a lot less pressure if you're used to finishing out. I think mulligans are great for improvement too.

And if he's playing anything like he did in MLS, he puts out no defensive effort and basically commands that the entire offensive structure be about giving him crosses. It's telling that in a team that had 2 Mexico regulars, Lletget, and Pavon(for half the year); that Zlatan outscored the rest of the team combined and they barely made the playoffs. Why does anybody care about Zlatan?

It sounds more like a waterfall that you might hear in a waiting room. Just weird. As mentioned, just amplify the in game sounds then maybe have the organist play throughout the game. Or live mike Javy. the crowd noise is ridiculous. I'd rather hear the players.

That is bizarre . . . and sad if true. Two more young americans to wolfburg - loving this americans to the bundesliga trend (I think its a trend but have to admit I just started paying attention recently). I think I can get into MLS once Sacramento has a team. San Jose has a great stadium but its such a pain to get to that requires leaving before lunch to make kickoff.

Just hitting the driver? I know you just started and didn't know if you got irons as well. That's pretty good for first time on the range. A lot of times people have a hard time getting the ball up in the air due to various reasons so good to see you're getting 170+. hell, if you're hitting it straight your doing great. Better to pull than slice.

I can complain about how Kane was shoved over from behind and should have had a PK 5 minutes in but the main official and VAR ref didn’t give it. I’m more okay with that one being called since the ball went in directly off the arm. It certainly appeared to be on target before it hit the arm and no Spurs player would have kept it out had it not hit the arm so I think that should stand. If the ball wasn’t going in and took the same deflection and then went in, that shouldn’t count since it would have only gone in because of the hand ball. As for Jose, with how much money they’re paying him and how tight Levy is with money, he won’t be going anywhere soon unfortunately. Just one hell of a fall. To go from being a talented young team that finished 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and went R16 (16 points in a group with Real and Dortmund), finalist, R16 in the UCL to might not even finish in a Europa spot is amazing. All because horsefeathering Levy wouldn’t spend a bit on players to refresh the squad so he exiled the best coach they’ve had in 60 years. well, no need to complain since the PL admitted it was a mistake . . .

Champions League Draw this AM - going to be a few weeks of awesomeness come August. Barca/Napoli winner gets Bayern/Chelsea winner then winner of Juve/Lyon winner versus City/RM winner PSG on the easy track with Atalanta and then winner of Athletico/Leipzig - not that beating Athletico is ever easy (right Klopp?)

They're in a Europa League spot right now. I was under the impression it was a tight 11 because they can't afford a deep bench. Is that not the case?

Wolves would be good I think as they are competitive right now and should be playing in Europe next year.

the thing about Davies is he is fast among fast players. I don't think Dest has that kind of speed. From what I read, the question is whether he can defend or not. Going to a Barca or Bayern will allow him to get forward a lot but might not develop his defense as much. Playing for USA, he will be defending a lot more (against stronger opposition). Barca's finances might actually be a good thing if it allows him to play. Will be interesting to see if De La Fuente can break through at Barcelona.

That is really my concern with Dest. tbh though, I'm not in much of a position to evaluate how good these guys are.

I agree those would be bad choices. I likewise cringe when I see Dest tied to the massive clubs. If you can make it there, that's great, but I believe many of those clubs just take any great athlete and try them out. The number of ex-Barca players out there is astounding.
