I give him credit for winning the world series. thats what he is paid to do. I don't think that means he'll be a good gm in the future though - although I like his moves so far this offseason. at least KW seems to recognize that he can improve his team in many ways - a concept seemingly lost on hendry.
Anyone want to split some tickets? I was thinking to make the trip to SD for the semifinals and finals but I don't think I want to go to all three games. Raisin? Bigbadb? Tim? Vik? Bueller?
I think the Orioles may agree with Tejada that they need to be in rebuilding mode (actually he said the opposite but by trading him they clearly enter that mode). If Miggy goes, Javy and Mora likely follow. The Orioles have to establish some young cheap talent if they have any hope to compete. If they can't compete within Miggy's current contract, they have to trade him. For PR reasons I would imagine they want to make it look like they weren't forced to do it though. I personally think he will be traded. His reversal buys time and shuts everyone up.
Since 1962, the year Major League Baseball expanded to 162 games, only three Cubs have scored 100 runs from the leadoff spot. They include Brian McRae (111 in 1996), Don Kessinger (109 in 1969) and Rick Monday (106 in 1976).
then I should admit I had no stamps and forgot to mail it today - its with my car registration though so I will do it tomorrow. btw, if it costs you anything, I don't really need premium.
Does premium membership allow me to have cpatterson20 read and respond to all posts for me? I assume any actual news will be transmitted telepathically? Seriously though, check is in the mail but I forgot to write my screenname on it. sorry it took so long!
