  1. Of course if a team could prove that Daisuke will generate X amount of ticket revenue, X amount of merchandise revenue, X amount of sponsorship revenue, They would have a good shot of getting ownership to pony up the $$$
  2. If it is the Tribune's money, so would I.
  3. Is this guy viewed as a "can't miss" at the next level? Yes his stuff is nasty, but ins't there a chance, that for whatever reason, he just won't be that great in the US? Anything could happen, espcecially mentally with him. If a GM dishes out the 20+ million dollar bidding fee, plus the year contract(who the hell knows how high that will be), and this guy flops...that will pretty much spell the end of the GM.(plus many others too within the organization) I can only think of one team that will take on this risk.
  4. Nasty stuff. In those vids he is topping out at 145-146(KMH) or 90-91 MPH. I thought I read he could throw in the upper 90's?
  5. Cut the crap and just INK Girardi.
  6. He will be a Cub sooner or later. Read section 7.11 of the official MLB rules http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/official_info/official_rules/start_end_4.jsp
  7. I also drafted Jamal Lewis. I wish they would bench him already so I can sign his backup.
  8. blah, I was more comfortable when I hated Mariotti and disagreed with everything he wrote. This is a weird spot I am in.
  9. Ryan will have to wave his "no trade clause" Brilliant Jim.
  10. I'm sure he will bid. He just won't win.
  11. I liked it better when these guys hated the Bears.
  12. How about this guy. He is a little out there, rebelious. Gutsy. Takes Risks. Your thoughts? http://www.hrvatski-vojnik.hr/hrvatski-vojnik/802002/80_pictures/Kim%20Jong.jpg
  13. Joe "woo" Girardi "woo" Hire "woo" him "woo" now "woo" Joe "woo" Giradi "woo"
  14. There is a new sheriff on the West Side of Chicago. http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2006-10/25698952.jpg
  15. Its a great time to be a Chicago Sports fan. The Bears are dominant The Bulls should contend in the East. The Blackhawks look improved. The Cu....nevermind.
  16. who doesn't? Especially after a season of following the Cubs? 8)
  17. I doubt those were Cub fans. They were [expletive] biggots who targeted an African American manager in the spotlight.
  18. I'd say 1/2 of his sacks are due to talents of his fellow DLineman. But IMO the other half are due to him simply owning the Offensive tackle. Walter Jones last week, and the "whip" move on Gandy today as examples.
  19. Indeed they do have DROY previous winners http://sportsline.com/nfl/history/awards/apdroy
  20. I want to state that by "own" I meant simply contract wise. Last thing we need is Fox Baseball doing another story on Cubs fans. sheesh.
  21. we gotta "own" Aram before we "deal" him.
  22. I'm not a nice guy, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Can I coach the Cubs?
  23. Mark Anderson > Mario Williams.
  24. updated Grossman season stats 93/152 1243yards 10TD's 3INT's 100.8 rating. If the Bears continue to run the ball like they did today Grossman's passing yards will remain down.(not that it matters with wins or losses but important in terms of his MVP candidancy)
