    seriously man the negativity has got stop. Give they guy a chance before you bash him. If you have a problem with my opinion then don't respond. I have every right to voice my opinion considering this organization that has treated its fans like garbage. I don't have to give the guy a chance. I don't trust anyone from the tribune company. as for Then bring in a guy from outside the Tribune. Alot of times companies look to someone from the outside to straighten things out.

    Can't the two co-exist. A nice blend of young player and veterans. The Twins have a nice model.

    Is this model working for us? Should we look for a new road? I think we should. Heck, even some fresh blood from outside tribune would even be a better option. It's like impeaching Bush...is Cheney any better? Or impeaching Clinton?.....ya like Gore? I just can't agree with brining someone from in house to fix this.

    Also consider the overall situation of the Cubs. Someone needs to be auditing this entire operation. From the majors to the minors. Do they understand the issues the Cubs have in the minors outside of some nice young arms. Lack of position players. Fundementals. Injuries at every level. Who is gonna take action and change this? McDonough?

    Crowley was a team VP before becoming president, while Freeman works under Alderson who knows a thing or 2 about the game. Dombrowski helped build some powerhouses in Montreal in the early 90's

    Dusty said we'd win one too. Saying "we're going to win a world series is pointless. He'd just have people like you calling him out and say oh yeah MCDUMMY, how you gonna win it with donut eating bacon grease boy as GM eating krispy kremes all day while eating garbage that even tubby glendon rusch threw out even though he's so fat. I agree it's pointless to say we will win one. I think the statement of we hope to win one is better. But I said I was troubled with his flipping back and forth. So why on the day you got your gig are you pufffing your chest making all of these guarentees? He is a snake oil saleman folks. It is so obvious.

    Well when you buy a team you can pretty much do whatever you want. But techinally that does count so I'll credit that one. But for the most part most team presidents who operate under an owner, get the role because they have some type of general knowledge of the game of baseball.

    I'd like to see a list of team presidents that moved from having 0 tactical baseball operations experience, straight up to the role of team president.

    I'm sure they have had some time of baseball experience in terms day to day baseball operations. This guy has done nothing but scalp tickets and peddle beanie babies in the Cubs organization. I know most of us are frustrated and wallowing in negativity, but Christ, man...do you ever let this schtick up? Maybe when they make a move in the right direction. Well see when that happens. They took a step foward with Dusty, but stepped back by annointing a president with no tatical baseball knowledge(admit by McDonough himself)
