    Also I never heard Girardi having issues with the Boss. Of course bench coach is kinda of a under the radar job. Then again I hear Steinbrenner chews out the hotdog vendors.

Heck only 3 people might have been there. He could have said...Hey Loria shut the explictive up. He could have said. Mr. Loria, I'm trying to set an example to my young players regarding argunments with the umpires. I understand your mad, but I just don't want them to think it is ok. Do you see my point. My money is on a comment somewhere in the middle.

    Whether you think he is the best choice or not, the other contestents could begin to file off stage soon. one already has. I'm passionate about Girardi. You are equally as passionate about Dierker. If Dierker is hired to tomorrow as the Cubs manager I certainly won't complain. However is there any evidence to suggest that he wants to get back into managing. I haven't found any. Maybe I simply missed something and there is evidence. If so Girardi is still #1 on my list but Dierker would be a very close second.

I don't believe that anybody is offended by your opionions. Those that have responded to you, including the moderators, have taken afront at the way you deliver those opinions. I suspect that if you don't heed their advice, you'll be meeting a fellow called Modzilla. Where have I personally attacked anyone on the board in this thread? I don't like McDounough, which dates back to the ticket scalping incident. He is a salesman and I don't trust him. And the hire/promotion angers me. If you are gonna ban me for not having optimistic attitude, then so be it.

    Fired because he told Loria to basically screw off. If he did the same thing to Fitzsimmons, I'd probably want to marry the guy. To me it shows a lack of good judgement. I'd like a manager that shows better judgement, on and off the field. . He had an owner running his mouth to the umps on the field. He simply asked him to stop Once he had offeneded Loria, one of the biggest jerks in baseball, it was over.

    I didn't realize forearm tightness was a season ending injury? And here this whole time I though they were overly cautions since there was only 2 1/2 weeks left in the season and playoff hopes had faded. :roll: So it didn't end his season? Yeah it did. But I compare it to the same kind of nonsense of people who say Rex Grossman of the Chicago Bears has had 2 season ending injuries(counting the injury to his hand in the last game of the 03 season)

    Your crticisms might carry more merit if you made them without the hyperbole and insults. Is the ticket scalper thing really an insult? Or more of a fact.
