  1. a little bit of all IMO. Also add in "inability to play through pain".
  2. Also those percentages are based on the 10 minutes of every hour that are not commericals.
  3. If you're referring to the article I think you are, that was one of the worst pieces of sportswriter tripe I've ever read this side of Jay Mariotti. The "Bears Locker Room Maturity" article is what I am talking about. Yes. Simply terrible.
  4. I think you will see Telender with alot more Cubs coverage and less Bears coverage from now on. Personally I think everything that comes out of his mouth sucks.
  5. Probably the closet reason is his catering to "vets" IMO. btw..I don't think he is another Dusty.
  6. Re-sign: Aram Sign: Diasuke Alfonso Soriono Vincente Padilla Dave Roberts Lineup Roberts CF Theirot 2B D. 7. sigh....Not my first choice. Well, if you win Lou this town will love you. So win.
  8. The Ordonez gamble pays off for Detroit. shoulda gone after him Jim. but what else is new.
  9. I'll help form a blockade on the Kennedy if it keeps Bonds out of Chicago. http://www.brianbehrend.com/archives/images/bonds-cheater.jpg [/img]
  10. Gamble on Daisuke. At the very least he would generate some $$$ in adverstising revenue, jerseys, etc...
  11. The Cubs were pretty bad in the mid-90's, I wouldn't have minded(as a Cubs fan). When Gil Meche inks his 5 year 45 million dollar deal this offseaon, it will be a pinnacle of how bad it it.
  12. So you would have rather watched several seasons get cancelled or seasons played with replacement players because the PA would have never agreed to a salary cap. The players would have caved had they used replacements for a while, believe me they would have caved.
  13. Baseball would have been 100X better off had they got a salary cap in place during the 90's. Good job Bud. Combine that with you closing your eyes to roids for over a decade and I am putting you down as the worst commish ever in pro sports.
  14. A big duence cap award to Washington for not trading him as well.
  15. This thread reminds me of John Travolta. It just won't go away.
  16. I can't believe it takes a 66 win season combined with the 2nd worst OBP in MLB for these idiots to realize they have some issues regarding offensive philosophy.
  17. Beltre juiced man. I don't think its fair to compare the two, IMO.
  18. Tinley Park residents crack me up!
  19. I gotta give Piniella this...he knows how to argue with an ump. How many times this year did Dusty go out to argue a call, only to limp back to the dugout with his tail between his legs. That was pathetic.
  20. What about the Pittsburgh Cubans?
  21. This guy http://goldpanners.com/Scrapbook/w/w/williams-jimy_HOU_01.jpg  that would just be awful.
  22. Hey, that chick Orton is with......is she really a "chick" you think? I'd say its 50/50...IMO.
  23. Wow...He was a few weeks from gettting a pretty decent contract from some team. I know it seams meaningless at this point, but most men, including myself, want nothing more than their families "taken care of" should they pass on. RIP.
  24. I can't wait till the morons wake up and install a salary cap for baseball.
  25. http://cubsfun.blogspot.com/2005/04/dustys-dugout-dice.html Quite possibly the greatest photoshop ever.
