    before posting I will say I have not read all 6 pages so I dont know if this has been suggested.. But what if we keep A-Ram at third, get A-Rod put him at short and then go after C. Lee for Right field and make TheRiot our starting second baseman. Then we just need a Center Fielder and some pitching.. and we are all set.

    It would be nice to get Soriano or Tejada.. if we do... this would be my lineup Pierre Soriano/Tejada Lee Ramirez Cedeno/Theriot Barrett Jones/Murton Izturis/Cedeno And if we get Soriano... I say play him in left.

Free agents I would like to see put on a Cub Uni in '07 Carlos Lee Barry Zito Julio Lugo '06 Cubs that I want to return Marshall (Unless he is traded for someone that will be a big leaguer in '07) Hill Zambrano (no ?) Lee (no ?) A-Ram (only if he wants to be here) Barrett (no ?) Pierre (again, only if he wants to be here) Jones (only because I dont think we can get much for him) Cedeno and TheRiot (they can both platoon at Second) Eyre Howry

    i would rather have both of them.. because knowing our luck... if we only get one... then he will be injured.. and we will be screwed...lol

    Yes he has some promise.. just dont give him Woods spot in the rotation.. if you do he'll get injured... just like Marmol and O'mally did.. LOL

    I don't really understand why that would make any Cubs fan happy. If they won every game from here on out I'd be happy. If they had a complete overhaul of the organization I'd be happy. But I can't understand being happy with the team finishing within 5 games of .500. because of how the season is went...lol. thats the only reason it would make me happy.

    Now that Neifi is gone.... Do you guys think Fat Tubby Rusch is going to be traded next??? I know he is currently on the DL.. but if he comes back and at least plays with decency... I really do thing that Hendry might trade him to make room for kids.

    umm.. me.. I play on pro.. with modifications.. Injuries and errors are off. otherwise. but i have not started a season yet

    The other night I had some free time so I loaded up my video game...... MLB Baseball 2005 and created my own cubs Lineup YOUR 2005 CHICAGO CUBS STARTING LINE UP IS: C Barrett 1B DLee 2B A. Soriano SS Garciaparra / Izturis 3B A. Ramirez LF CLee CF Pierre RF Sosa AND NOW... YOUR 2005 CHICAGO CUBS PITCHING STAFF IS: Big Z Big Unit Smoltzie D-Train Prior Kid K Howry Eyre M. Rivera Dotel Wagner The Farns Then after creating this lineup I played a game against the Brew Crew. My starting pitcher was Smoltzie. The game went 12 innings.. with a final of 1-0. Smoltzie went 11.1 innigns while throwing 109 pitches and punching out 20. Then I brough the Big Unit in from the pen....and he struck out 2. Believe it or not...... I lost the game one a single to left with men at the corners in the top of the 12th...the run was charged to Smoltzie... but the Big Unit allowed the run to score from 3rd. The irony of all this is...... that I play this game THE SAME NIGHT the Cubs played a single game double header against the Astros.

    Personally, I would like to see them get a chance to put a team on the field like the '03 team... that has limited injuries. Or has injuries to guys who can easily be replaced. In all seriousness, I am willing to give Baker another shot. One thing I will never do is blame him for the injuries. What I will do though, is blame the poor play over the last 3 seasons (2004. 2005, and 2006) on injuries to key players. Prior, Wood, Garciaparra, Lee. I think that had these guys not went down as they did... we would have seen the Cubs in the playoffs at least one time since 2003.

    Niefi is a good fit for any team not managed by Dusty Baker... where he will be used correctly.. as a late inning defensive improvement.

    I was just thinking of a nickname to use for a group of guys who could one day be team mates for the ML sqad on the north side. thats all. I wasnt thinking of it as assosiating it with an insect.. or animal or anything like that. Right now, yes they are mediocre... but one day they could all become really nasty. LOL thats why I said
