  1. How many times will this be heard....Penn, now these are the REAL student athletes. LOL-I don't mind if they get a little face time there with those comments if they are paying 30k more a year to go to school then the other players in the tournament.
  2. He's actually very good at what he does...He creates controversy. Exactly-he gets lots of people to read his column without breaking rules-that's his job description.
  3. I thought about it-that's actually why I didn't pick Butler in the second round. ODU is a quality squad, but I think Butler will have something to prove today. I hated to, but I did. Butler has really slumped down the stretch. I justified it with the reason they slumped is because AJ Graves got tired and slumped-they played 4 games in 7 days 3 times during the season. The day after they won the Preseason NIT in New York they actually had to fly home and play a game at home the next day. It's been a week and a half since they played last, which is a huge break for them, and I think Graves will have a good game.

  5. I can't even get one window to work without it being choppy. Mine kept blacking out until I right clicked, clicked on options, and then turned my video acceleration down to half-it works great now. Of course, your system might not be fast enough either for it to run well.
  6. Once I got 1 all the way into the video player, I then opened a new window and then proceeded into the waiting room from that window. You can't have two different windows in the waiting room at the same time.
  7. Hooray for small sample size and making a judgment on one game. if you don't think any of the teams I listed would have given Louisville a better game today you're the biggest homer ever Wait, people are complaining about Stanford at 18-12 and you want Iowa at 17-14? Brilliant. forget Iowa. Syracuse certainly should be in there over Stanford Agreed. But I also agree that Iowa would have given Louisville a much better game. It's hard to tell-Iowa didn't give Purdue a very good game at all. Have you seen Stanford today? Yes, I have-and I saw Iowa do almost the same thing against an inferior Purdue team in the last game they played-what's to say they wouldn't do that again against a better Louisville team?

  9. that's weird....i've been bumped and back in 3 times already, hah....are you in the VIP line? yeah-when I got in with my 2nd feed I was in line for less than a minute.
  10. Hooray for small sample size and making a judgment on one game. if you don't think any of the teams I listed would have given Louisville a better game today you're the biggest homer ever Teams sometimes just get blown out-Butler a few years ago was up 42-10 at halftime on the 7 seed Wake Forest. Every team in the tournament probably could have been closer than that. Does that mean Wake Forest didn't deserve their 7 seed? No-it's just that Butler was playing very well and WF was playing terribly that particular game.
  11. They were the last team revealed on the CBS selection show but I would think Illinois, Arkansas, and Old Dominion were all picked after Stanford. It's hard to tell for sure on that-the committee does move teams up and down 1 or 2 seed lines to fit some of the bracket rules. Any of those teams could have been the last team in.
  12. Can you imagine a possible Butler-Davidson 2nd round game? How many 3 pointers would be taken-40 or 45 at least?
  13. I have 2 games up now-it's working just fine. I'm using a standard cable modem.
  14. i just got that too. other than that its been solid. MMOD is powered by mlb.com so anybody interested in mlb.tv this is a good test. Premium would have twice the quality. I actually kind of thought that must be the case-their answer to if you can run multiple video players at one time is word for word what MLB.TV says, so I figured they must be connected in some way. Multiple....hmm Are you doing that? Not yet-I'm about to try it. I'll let you know what happens if nobody tries it first.

  16. Did you try clicking on another game? Did you click on watch now, and which game was it? Yeah, I've tried clicking on all the games and it says the same thing every time. I'm using firefox, I'm now trying a different browser. you have to used IE i believe Firefox 2.0 is supported, but no other version of Firefox is. IE is still recommended though, and you have to change the video acceleration settings on the player while running FireFox 2.0 to get it to work well.

  18. I just think there wasn't enough people signed up last year to make the VIP-General Admission thing matter at all. This year, many people signed up beforehand and got those VIP passes.
  19. Comptuer I will follow it on the computer, but that's not the same. I'll never get in to view the game. If you try to get in between 5 and 7 when the only game that is available is the one that will be shown on TV (and therefore no online games available), you should get in pretty quickly. Then you just need to keep it up till the IU game. Last year, it was pretty easy to get in at night-I usually got in within 1-2 minutes-we'll see tonight how it is this year.
  20. No, you need to refresh it and start in the back of the line-that's what I had to about 30 minutes ago because my computer was doing the same thing.
  21. Yeah, I'm watching the game online tonight. BTW, I have made it onto the video player-for the others to remember when they make it in, remember every once in a while (once or twice a hour) it will ask you if you are still there-you need to click that you are within a few minutes, or else it will kick you out to save bandwidth and let other people in. The funny thing is-right now I have no game to watch, because the only game is of course on my TV right now, and blackout rules state that the game that is being shown in your local area can't be streamed online. Do you know how they do those live look-ins for a few minutes? When the game you are watching online goes on the TV for a few minutes, they will say that you cannot watch the game online-it will come back as soon as they switch the game on the TV.
  22. I stopped for a few minutes as well, but now I'm moving again-in fact, I've moved 3k in the last minute.
  23. March Madness on Demand-you can watch any game that's not being shown on television in your area for free online. Wow, that looks nice. Aside from the 65000 people in line ahead of me Don't worry-they let people in every 20 seconds-in the past 15 minutes, I've moved up 25000 places in line, so at worst you would be in about 15-20 minutes after the first game starts.
  24. There are 2 corner OF positions, and they are nowhere near set for the next 3-4 years. One of those corner outfielders certainly is set with Soriano. The Cubs already said that the reason they had a tough time finding a guy to replace Jones over the off-season was that they refused to get anybody that could block Pie for any reason-that's not likely to change, so Pie gets CF. Then you have Murton. To sign A-Rod, they would have to pay him 15+ million, then shift him to completely different type of position than he's ever played, and then trade Murton. That seems very, very unlikely to me. You are just giving away a spot to Pie, who hasn't come close to locking down a gig, and claiming the Cubs are dead set on a guy who they are platooning this year. Soriano is the only sure thing, and they might need him for center for the next several seasons. Besides all that, you'd be insane to pass on ARod because you think you might have a decent OF without him. ARod is a difference maker. He would easily vault to the top spot on the Cubs. You make room for people like that. Hell, trade Murton if you have to. I like the guy, but he's no Miguel Cabrera. Well, I wouldn't just give the spot to Pie-but it certainly seems like the Cubs are. A disastrous season by Pie in Triple A may change that though. I'm not saying what they should do-I'm saying I don't think there's any way that the Cubs would consider A-Rod for a corner outfield spot.
  25. The only time he played less than 140 games in his career was 1999 when he played 129 games-so he has never been hurt for a significant period of time. I forgot one other thing-people believe that A-Rod's defense is getting worse at 3B, not better-which leads them to conclude that his overall defensive skills are slipping and that a move to SS would not help matters in that regard.
