    Cardinals fans are obnoxious, but much more rational than Sox fans. They are good to talk baseball with, but they are obnoxious people. Sox fans on the other hand, I hate so much, I just want to sock in the face when I see one, like my avatar.

    Again, what you're not grasping is that all that matters is that the trade would help the Cubs. As long as a trade would help the Cubs, it does NOT matter if it would also help the Sox. Hendry's job is to improve the Cubs, period, not to avoid improving the Sox.And if in the process, the White Sox win another World Series, how do you deal with the angry fans like me who want a winner right away?? :roll: :roll:

    My thoughts excatly. Same happens to me. This is the reason why I don't want to trade with them unless we get an arm or a leg. Whenever a Sox fan talks smack to me, I just want to sock them in the face. That's how much I hate their fans. I also hate Cardinals fans. They are the most obnoxious people ever. Wanting to punch somebody who talks smack to you? About baseball no less? I'm no shrink but that's neither healthy nor normal. I want to sock people in the face all the time, but the fact that I have the self control not to makes me both healthy and normal. What is the situation though? Somebody verbally harassing you is one thing but somebody making jokes about your baseball team is completely different. That their fans are rude, dumb, and obnoxious, and constantly gloat about the White Sox winning and the Cubs losing, and being happy when Lee broke his wrist. I also have the self control to refrain from smashing a Sox fan. Or like at my prom, when I was sitting around, this stupid Sox fan came up to me and asked me about the play (barrett-a.j.) and started laughing. I'm like, I didn't see it. He keeps going on. I'm like, "do you understand english? I didn't see it. I have a life unlike you." he keeps going on and on.

    Neifi Perez and Glendon Rusch would be required to make the ASG every single year. If a guy who can't run is batting, walks to him would be banned so they don't clog the bases for guys who can run.

    Yeah, but he bashes absolutely EVERYONE, even if it means double-speaking constantly. He's written so many articles where he'll completely counter an argument he made earlier. Back in the early 90's he did this all the time in terms of Jordan and the Bulls. This is when it became obnoxiously apparent that he just flip flops his argument. The guy sells papers. He must be doing something right??

    Who is boof bonser? If it's Liriano, he won;t pitch against us, he pitched yesterday. But he is the second coming of the great Johan Santana, IMO.

    They have this stupid, "Team korea" chant that they displayed during the WBC as well. Very obnoxius.

    I don't dislike Mariotti. :shock: I don't. I think he's one of the best sportswriters in America. Wow as a Bears fan like your name indicates, I can't believe you feel that way. Mariotti basically ran Ditka out of town and he's trying to do the same thing to Guillen (which I know you have no problem with). Mariotti is a scum, plain and simple. You are in a very, very, very small minority that likes that moron. I tried reading one of his columns on the train back from Chicago after going to a Cubs game about 2 months ago and I couldn't even finish reading the article it was so pathetic. I'm glad ESPN1000 fired him. I'd also watch Around the Horn a ton more if he wasn't on it. Bottom line is to say I don't like Jay Mariotti would be an understatement. 've been a Bears fan since 1998.

    Pretty much everything that has happened since Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS has been in the effort of the Baseball Gods to kill us all. The 2006 World Series between the Sox and Cards would pretty much end that work. With the Cardinals winning it.

    Me too. Always nice when the Cardinals lose. I may hate the Sox, but I hate the Cardinals above all, and I know they're the real enemy.

    The Sox fans have always had this anti-Cubs agenda since before interleague play. IDK about Cubs fans hating the Sox before then, but I know come October, "I sure as heck ain't rootin' for the White Sox or Cardinals."

    It's not that. It's Ken Williams comments that he doesn't want to play second-fiddle to the Cubs and Ozzie's "[bleep] the cubs" comments that we shouldn't trade with them. That and their rude, dumb, obnoxious fans. Who cares about whether he wants to play second fiddle or Ozzie's comments? And if we are going to stop trading with teams that have rude, dumb, obnoxious fans then we better start doing a much better job developing our own players, because there won't be any deals to make. If you refuse to deal with one team because of the reasons you stated, you are committing baseball malpractice. It would be completely irresponsible and would only be a disservice to your own team. I never once said we shouldn't trade with them. I said we should only trade with them if the trade is not going to put them over the top and we get good quality players in return, players who can help us now and a few years from now.

    I chose Niefi. Dusty has a serious man-love for the guy, and I would like to see how he manages without his favorite toy.
