seriously, do you think the Cardinals would just keep right on rolling without Pujols? hard to maintain with a hole concerning the likes of a Lee or Pujols. It's a defense that a derogatory term for homosexual has different connotations in his home country that he's lived out of for most of his life? It's like a parody of an apology. And rabbit, my guess on the WNBA is that he's aware of how homosexual the fan base for it is. It actively markets to the homosexual community. Really... Can you imagine him calling a reporter the N-word and then going on to say that it means something different in Venezuela and that he has black friends and goes to Dr. Dre concerts? It's pathetic. Suspend and fine the guy. Well said. Or some Asian reporter a "chinaman" and say it means something else in Venezuela and that he has Asian friends and watches Yao Ming. The guy needs to be suspended at least a month.

I think it was something along the lines of he had to play veterans even though the Cubs were out of the race to maintain the integrity of the post-season chase for other teams. The other teams probably were happy to see this since they already "have the book" on guys like Neifi, Macias, etc. and don't "have the book" on young players like Murton, Cedeno, etc. Yeah, it was. What has been better, the WBC or the World Cup? I say WBC. There was so much electicity in the stands during the WBC. I've never seen that during the World Cup and the Bulls titles in the 90's are the only time I've seen a stadium more electric.

Wood got suspended for "inciting the fans to throw trash on the field" when he got in an umpires face. LaTiolet got suspended for going after an umpire and needing 5 coaches to restrain him. Alou was never suspended. And if I was Barrett, after Ken Williams' comments, I'd have appealed, and then dropped it when the Tigers series started. Well he never did play against any other ALC team, so it turned out that way anyway I know. But I'm saying that I'd have appealed with the hope of getting thru to the Tigers series, and then regardless drop the appeal then and serve right away.

NO!! At my old school in Skokie, I dealt with Sox fans and hated it. When I movd to my new school, I dealt with moronic Sox fans, and once I joined forums, I dealt with more moronic Sox fans. I consider the North Shore "Chicago" as well.
