    I would, which is crazy. Spend a few years in Chicago and then we'll talk. So what you're essentially saying is that on any given day, you'd rather be able to make fun of a Sox fan than see the Cubs win, if given the choice between the two? That sounds like the attitude of a Sox fan. That's excatly the way they think and why their fans are so rude, dumb, and obnoxious.

No, I'm saying that we cannot allow a trade with the White Sox to turn out to be Garland-Karchner. I want the Cubs to win a World Series, but only do it w/ the White Sox help if the trade would help us now AND in the future.

    Win ballgames and you'll win the PR part. Don't forgo a good trade because you aren't fleecing the other team and you have a better chance of winning. It's different in Chicago. Cubs fans have 2 enemies: The Cardinals and White Sox. You may not have to deal w/ the White Sox crap out in CA, but I don't want to deal w/ moronic Sox fans. So you'd rather have something to get the better of Sox fans than complete a trade that would improve the Cubs? I would, b/c basic princpiles come into play here: You cannot allow rude, dumb, and obnoxious fans to shove it down your throat.

    Correction, YOU hate their guts. I'd trade with them in a heartbeat if it was a good trade. A good trade is a good trade is a good trade reguardless of who its with. (The exception to this rule being certain interdivision trades) And if the deal turns out to be a Garland for Karchner deal, with the Cubs getting the short end of the stick, do you want to deal w/ moronic Sox fans shoving it down your throat??

    Also, our pitchers would be healthier, while the Sox's pitchers will be on the DL the whole time. Macoviawk would be used a lot more, so would Cintron.

    I hate the Sox. But, the management team over there has a clue. They may not exactly classify as "intelligent", but they assembled a very solid baseball team. No they didn't. Their offense is power-heavy, and they don't have good relief pitching. That "Big 4" they shoved down everyone's throats last year is gone (Shingo, Marte, Hermanson, Vizciano), and that rotation they shoved down everyone's throats isn't so good either 36-23. They are doing something right, let's give credit where it's due. They do things right that don't show up in the boxscore that have an effect on the game as much as things that do show up.

    You obviosly don't get it. Any trade with the White Sox or Cardinals, in my book needs to cost them a little more than other teams, since we hate their guts.

    Seriously dude, you're obsessed with the White Sox. If we get a good deal we should take it no matter who the team is. Not to say either way about Eyre, but trading in general. Yes I hate the Cardinals and White Sox. After the Garland-Karchner deal, I don't want to trade w/ them unless we get some good help for now AND the future. There are teams to dump players for nothing in return, but the White Sox and Cardinals are not among those teams Who has ever, said anything, about "dumping players for nothing in return" to the White Sox. I didn't. I'm saying if the White Sox want help from the North Side, they better help us out in any deal. I think the Boss would have such an attitude regarding trades with the Mets or Red Sox.

    I think Zito will be their number 1 target this off-season. And they're going to fall short, and Hendry will give his typical crap that he tried.

    Here are my 5: 1.) Why are the Cubs reluctant to make Wood a full-time reliever? 2.) Why does Jim Hendry not do anything about Dusty's man-love for Niefi? 3.) We're tanking with all these unproductive veterens. Shouldn't we give the kids a chance, and let them play thru their struggles? 4.) Do you think Dusty doesn't go wild like Ozzie (i.e. get in an umpires face, yell, go on rants) b/c he's got a 5-year old son? Ozzie's kids are all grown up. Does the age of the kids have anything to do w/ their behavior? 5.) Why has no one among the Cubs brass brought up the qoute in my sig about his attitude to walks??

    You can't be obnoxius. I know a girl who is a huge Cubs fan and she has lived in Cardinals territory her entire life and she no problems. She wears Cubs gear a lot, but they don't give her hell. Is she hot? Yes. That's why they leave her alone. If I saw a hottie wearing a Cardinals shirt with a White Sox cap, well, I probably wouldn't notice that she was wearing a Cardinals shirt with a White Sox cap. Female Cubs fans are much hotter than female Sox and Cardinals fans. I don't think you'd ever find a hot chick in Cardinals or White Sox gear. All the hot chicks at my school are Cubs fans.
