  1. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Amazing.
  3. The entire nation of El Salvador has suddenly been stricken with cramping.
  4. That was quite bad. I must say, though, that the dive by #6 was quite amusing.
  5. http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-96316601417599_2047_3842492 http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-96316601417599_2047_3175912
  6. Rule changes:
  7. Looks like a bad issue of Highlights magazine. I spotted the paint brush pretty quickly.
  8. The Rascall Flats concert has been approved.
  9. That's what you get for traveling.
  10. I have tickets to that game. I'll probably be in Seattle...
  11. Nick Roach is back for a one-year, minimum salary deal: http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=279413
  12. A) The NIT is not a meritocracy. B) You can have our 2 seed and play UAB, ranked 42nd by Pomeroy, and we'll play Tulsa, ranked 58th. (Again. Not a meritocracy.) They have pretty strict rules, selecting in groups of 4, and though there are policies to create matchups based on location when possible, that only accounts for a 1 seed jump. No other rules explain this seeding. I'd gladly take a 2 seed with a home game on ESPN2 against UAB than a 5 seed.
  13. Notre Dame gets a 2 seed and Northwestern gets a 5 seed. That just makes all the sense in the world, with NU and ND being next to each other in RPI (flip flopped on different sites), NU 6-10 against RPI top 50 teams compared to ND's 2-12, and 2-3 against top 25 to ND's 1-9. But I guess ND's decimal point advantage in SoS makes up for that.
  14. I've heard plenty of accounts from the '83 matchup, though more about the St. Patrick's day victory over Notre Dame. But those days of the NIT are over. The NIT can take some liberties when putting together regions, as they do want them to make some geographic sense, but they're pretty much straight seeds since the NCAA took over.
  15. 8 hours until Northwestern gets screwed with a 6 seed.
  16. A giant turd of an effort for the 2nd straight game with so much on the line.
  17. This is the first time Gus Johnson has called an NU game and I can't even watch...
  18. No business being within 6 at the half. The half-player who showed up, Kevin Coble, hit a deep 3 at the buzzer. Of course, his defense was terrible, Michael Thompson has 3 fouls, 10 or 11 turnovers as a team, 8 or so offensive rebounds allowed, etc. Maybe we can return the favor for blowing last year's double digit lead against Minnesota in the tournament.
  19. Absolutely pathetic. Half of one player decided to show up.
  20. Is Kiffin trying to see how many recruiting violations and near-violations he can rack up before coaching a game? http://myespn.go.com/blogs/sec/0-5-172/A-peek-into-recruiting-with-South-Carolina-s-Jeffrey.html
  21. Here's the list of 1/2 off college discount bleacher games: Wednesday, April 15 1:20 p.m. Colorado Rockies Thursday, April 16 1:20 p.m. St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday, April 21 7:05 p.m. Cincinnati Reds Wednesday, April 22 7:05 p.m. Cincinnati Reds Friday, May 1 1:20 p.m. Florida Marlins Monday, May 4 7:05 p.m. San Francisco Giants Tuesday, May 5 1:20 p.m. San Francisco Giants Wednesday, May 13 7:05 p.m. San Diego Padres No weekend games this year. WILDCATS and other passwords from last year work. Also, the dugout, bullpen, and bleacher box seats go on sale this Friday at 10 AM. It doesn't appear as if there's a lottery.
  22. These were also sent out in another email: Doubt there's a difference between the two.
  23. For tomorrow's presale:
  24. 7 hours until the biggest game in program history for Northwestern. I don't think we'll see a repeat of both teams shooting roughly 52% for 3 (NU went 13 for 25 on Moore's 7 for 12 performance and Ohio State went 10 for 19 with Diebler hitting 8 of 10), though it wouldn't surprise me. This team has played pretty well in rematches so far this year, but it'll be hard to shut down Turner again. Of course, we played that game without Mirkovic, as he was out with the flu. A win puts us in a good position with a likely must-win 7/10 matchup against Iowa or a 6th seed matchup against Indiana if they pull off the upset. A loss will result in a much more difficult time in the BTT with an early first round game against Minnesota, though that would still have sizeable implications on NIT seeding.
  25. According to the Red Card, Soldier Field will likely host the Gold Cup semifinals but not the final.
