  1. Don't forget on the road against Iowa. They were winning in the last minute. Though we played like crap that game. Both teams did. The blown 2nd half double digit leads @ Butler and @ Penn State were bigger "should haves" than the Iowa game.
  2. Great win! I can't believe we overcame all those mental mistakes down the stretch. I only have one thing to say, though:
  3. Well that doesn't help. Craig Moore will have to on this evening, but he has been so inconsistent as of late. Over his last 8 games, he has made 5+ 3 pointers 4 different times and 2 or fewer the other 4 times, including going 2 for 11 on Saturday.
  4. Purdue has only lost three times at home this year (Oklahoma in OT, Duke, and Illinois in OT). Meanwhile, Northwestern's road performances have been all over the place, from winning @ Michigan State to blowing big leads to not even showing up. Unless we can effectively mix the 1-3-1 to force turnovers with a 2-3 or hybrid defense to limit outside shots, we won't have much of a chance. Last time, we forced 22 turnovers and held Purdue to 6 of 16 from the outside. That'll be hard to replicate. Of course, they outrebounded us 41-22 and dominated the inside on both sides.
  5. On-sale info for the qualifier at Soldier Field: So mark your calendars for 10 AM on Tuesday, March 10th. Like last year, prices start at $25.
  6. Sigh. I really miss the Puma days. Here is the Red Stars new home kit: http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/.a/6a00d83451583769e2011168963a54970c-800wihttp://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/.a/6a00d83451583769e20111689639e9970c-800wi
  7. It took me 30 minutes to get through the first time, so I missed out on my top two targets. Oh, well. By the way, take a look at the schedule right now. Many, many sellouts already.
  8. wtf, I'm having issues with firefox... when i open up a new tab it wont let me type in the url...little help Jon? I went to history and picked the vwr and that allowed me to put the url in multiple tabs It sounds like you might be using the original window that popped up when you first clicked on the T icon. If you open up a new window and paste the url in there, you should be fine.
  9. Are you using IE or Firefox? If you can't duplicate a tab without getting that message, it would be easier to just copy and paste the url into blank tabs.
  10. that doesn't work Since last year, tickets.com tends to send users back to the VWR at times when trying to select tickets. Entering that code into the url bar when that happens (or clicking on the bookmark if you create one in advance) enables right-clicking on tickets.com and lets you go back to the page before you got kicked back to the VWR. I've never tried it with IE, though.
  11. Tab mix plus is what I use.
  12. I posted this elsewhere, but if you get kicked back to the VWR while trying to select tickets, you can go back to the previous page and have it still work. If the back arrow won't let you do it, use the following url to enable right-clicking and right-click to select back (you'll have to bookmark the url beforehand): javascript:void(document.onmousedown=null);void(document.onclick=null);void(document.oncontextmenu=null)
  13. Based on last year, if you had an order with 6 tickets, it looks like the fees would come out to around $5-6 per ticket. More if you had less than 6 and I'm sure it'll be slightly higher this year. If someone buys the maximum of 42 tickets, that's over $250 saved.
  14. Any advice on the wristbands? I overheard someone in line yesterday that he was about 2,200 off last year and showed up at 10:30 to see what number they were at. They already passed by him, so he probably could have gotten tickets by 10. It's pretty hard to tell if it's worth going down there when the wristband numbers are random and not every one is given away.
  15. Well, there's a second Elton John and Billy Joel concert on July 16, too.
  16. ABOUT DAMN TIME
  17. #3664. I got there just after 11 and it still took 25-30 minutes in line despite the line moving very quickly. Don't people work?
  18. The Tuesday night White Sox game is going to be the first sell out, but I'm pretty curious to see how Wednesday and Thursday day games do with those prices. The Indians series and probably the Twins series will also be popular especially because of the lower price range relative to other "summer" weekend series like the Cardinals and Brewers. On the whole, though, the home schedule kind of sucks this year. What the heck is up with a Monday night Memorial Day game? What a waste of a day off work. I'll probably be heading down to get a wristband sometime around lunchtime. I don't think I've gotten one since HS.
  19. Yea, but Hedey was the bad guy, so it doesn't count. It's Hedley. It took a good 15 minute google search at one point to figure out that 1874 joke. It's the only time I've heard "on line" used in that way, though.
  20. I messed around with tickets.com this morning as a "dry run" for next Friday. I noticed some issues with the Winter Classic and wanted to see if they were a one-time deal. As you noticed, they're not. I'm not sure if they designate extra capacity for the Cubs on sale, but this was uglier than buying cubs tickets over the last few years. Here's a tip, though. Save this link as a bookmark: javascript:void(document.onmousedown=null);void(document.onclick=null);void(document.oncontextmenu=null) Tickets.com won't let you right-click to go back to the previous page, but if you end up getting sent back to the VWR or get an HTTP error message AFTER you get through the VWR, you can go up to bookmark the link, open it, and it will allow you to right-click and go back to the previous page. At least in firefox. Not sure about IE. This seemed to get back to the ticket selection or security code page 90% of the time. Or maybe the back button. I'm not sure I even tried that...
  21. The remaining qualifier locations have been officially announced: June 6 vs. Honduras - Chicago @ Soldier Field - 7 PM central September 5 vs. El Salvador - Salt Lake City @ Rio Tinto Stadium - 5:30 PM mountain October 14 vs. Costa Rica - DC @ RFK Stadium - TBD
  22. DOS A CERO
  23. Wow. Live, that was a surprising red card. Well, didn't even try to play the ball. Not smart.
  24. Fantastico!
