Stanford is not a bad team, either. They only averaged 11 TOs per game coming into today, and NU forced 18 or something. Go 'Cats! Stanford really isn't a good team this year. They have 2 home losses already to not great teams, and a bad loss at San Diego as well, coupled with zero decent wins. Their best effort was an OT loss to Kentucky on a neutral floor. No, they're not good, but they're also not bad. Unfortunately, the start of the Big Ten season won't be kind to NU. @ Illinois vs. MSU non-conference break against Texas Pan-American @ Michigan vs. Wisconsin vs. Purdue @ Ohio State (woo Gus Johnson) vs. Illinois @ Minnesota @ Michigan State We'll certainly lose some momentum, but it gets easier after that with 2 against Penn State, 2 against Iowa, 2 against Indiana, and a home game against Michigan. Also home against Minnesota and @ Wisconsin. And I won't complain about only getting Purdue and Ohio State once. And speaking of mediocre Pac-10 teams, USC beat Tennessee by 22.
