  1. That foul against Bradley in the 58th minute was ridiculous.
  2. Well that was incredibly stupid.
  3. Great strike from Torres. Just a couple of feet off. Hopefully Holden is okay.
  4. Nothing gets me pumped for a friendly against the Netherlands like blackface.
  5. I think I'm going to order one. It looks much sharper than the original images. Navy blue with the red border on the white stripe. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-96316601417599_2096_30110449
  6. The guy was clearly fouled. I wasn't paying close enough attention to the replay on the non-call of the missed dunk.
  7. What an ass kicking. Nothing from Chelsea after the equalizer just before the half.
  8. FSC+ was just announced for DirecTV, Dish, and Verizon FiOS. It'll start Monday. None of the carriers will have FSC+ in HD. Haven't heard anything new about FSC in HD for DirecTV.
  9. Chelsea host Manchester City bright and early tomorrow morning on ESPN2 with 1st and 4th place implications. By the way, ESPN's HD broadcasts of soccer have completely ruined my ability to enjoy FSC broadcasts. Hurry up, DirecTV.
  10. My goodness. That's the kind of goal you'd get if you're playing FIFA soccer on super easy.
  11. Some of NCAA's allegations against Michigan:
  12. Great way to start a Saturday morning.
  13. We've got a good game going through the first 19 minutes. Some nice energy from Everton. Good to see them rewarded for it. I'm going to have to pause it and watch a little later, though. Also, I love soccer in HD. If for no other reason than to see a little kid swearing at the linesman in the 23rd minute.
  14. I'm still not sold, but those look better than the original pictures. If the blue is closer to a navy, that will help a lot. This blue doesn't look right: http://cdn.majorleaguesoccertalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/usa-world-cup-shirt.jpg Of course, then there's this: http://cdn.majorleaguesoccertalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/USMNTshirt.jpg Are they still on pace to debut next month?
  15. If you had row A, I could see being able to get your money back. Rows B and C, though, and I'd be pretty surprised if you didn't lose money.
  16. Yeah, I've actually gotten all of mine. Firefox kept sending me back to the vwr when I clicked schedule immediately after getting through, but IE never did that. Kind of strange. Today would have been better without a) the presale and b) the Tiger Woods press conference and mind-numbing post-conference analysis. I wanted to see the Price is Right.
  17. No. They'll trickle in over the rest of the day. You'll probably get them in the next few hours, though.
  18. 3 minutes in and singles only for the 6/12 game. Apparently there wasn't a limit on presale tickets...
  19. Well, it is pretty ridiculous how high prices for field and club box seats have gotten. $90 for an infield field-level box seat to a platinum game. Roughly $100 after fees. But yeah, I'd just stick with UD box.
  20. Upper Deck Box by far. No risk of having your view blocked by people constantly walking in front of you on the walkway and the view is fantastic. You're right on top of the terrace box seats, so it's not like you're further back, either. And it's much more open. No sense of being cramped under the overhang surrounded by thousands of people. It used to be a real no-brainer prior to a few years ago when UD Box seats were cheaper relative to other seating, but they've really raised the price on those seats recently. Here are a couple of examples: 418: http://www.seatdata.com/images/mlb_cubs/800x600/418.jpg 218: http://www.seatdata.com/images/mlb_cubs/800x600/218.jpg (first 3 or 4 rows, I believe) I thought it was 7 or 8 Actually, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure it's 6. The pillars are in row 6 in the 200 level except for in the corners, so terrace box seats guarantee that you won't be obstructed...by the pillars. But if you're in the first few rows, you're going to be pretty annoyed by all of the people walking or standing in front of you on the walkway. Especially cotton candy vendors, which you don't have to deal with in the 400 level.

  22. Here's the video: Well worth watching. You can only see from the chest up, but he doesn't exactly look like he nearly died a few months ago.
  23. The article also states that the driver was likely drunk during the crash. Not sure if that is news or not, but this is the first time I've heard anything on it.
  24. An incoming Vanderbilt recruit was killed in a murder-suicide. Very sad. http://www.ajc.com/news/cobb/mceachern-high-school-football-311184.html
