    Utah ranked just below Arizona State in the latest US News and World Report rankings. There's no way the Pac-10 would even entertain that idea.

    Didn't know that the SEC does not have HD monitors in the replay booth. Rather strange.

    That depends on how far you're willing to hoof it and whether you want to tailgate. Most of the lots around the stadium are set aside for football parking, so if you want to tailgate, you can go to the lots down along First Street south of the stadium and in the research park. You'll have to pay to park at those places, though. If you just want to go to the game, university parking is free on Saturdays, although most of that parking is a decent walk away from the stadium. This parking includes a long row of free meters between Windsor and Kirby on Lincoln along with a number of the lots on campus. Thanks. I couldn't find any pricing information online and they didn't indicate that it was free. No tailgating, just parking. I'll just try to grab a lot that is a little further out to avoid any traffic after the game.

    It was MLS at its near-best. The weather won't be quite as nice next weekend, but hopefully they can get another sellout.

    Idonije had his left knee scoped and his status is uncertain for the Atlanta game.

    That's two uncharacteristically poorly thrown passes to wide open TEs on the last two TD passes. But both were caught. No harm, no foul.

    And Briggs sat out practice with a foot injury. He was wearing a boot.

    Stripping isn't effective when you whiff with the other arm. Tillman usually at least partially wraps the man up before he goes for the ball. He didn't do that yesterday, but it wasn't because of the turnover mindset. It was just lousy execution. And Hillenmeyer had the easy task of just running through the ball carrier and pushing him out of bounds. He didn't do that, either.

    I can't believe we have to wait until October to get a noon kickoff. I love noon kickoffs...

    The Chicago Invitational Tournament has been moved from the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates to the UIC Pavilion. Last I heard, the Sears Centre was having major financial problems, but it was thought that the CIT would still take place there. This means an NU/ND matchup the night after Thanksgiving at UIC Pavilion. MUCH better than having to drive out to Hoffman Estates, especially since I've never been inside the UIC Pavilion before.
