    Greenberg robs Patchett with an amazing diving catch in right-center for the second out of the inning. The opposing pitcher then just misses a long ball with two outs and Eric prolongs the inning by throwing high to first after gloving a routine grounder. O'Malley with an error on a bunt attempt for a hit and the Jaxx now trail 2-1.

    I missed it, but Eric's sac fly in the third inning with Reyes on third and one away tied the game at 1.

    EPatt lined out hard to the right fielder on the first pitch in his first AB.

    Sullivan is now saying that he's done for the season: I have bolded two things. Guess which one upsets me (note that neither is surprising, including the point that he's going to end up missing more than 10 weeks).

    4,400+ fans on hand tonight! 114-pitch CG shutout for Pinto! 9 IP, 3 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts. His ERA drops from 2.62 to 2.44.

    98 pitches through 8 for Renyel. You've got to love it anytime he can give you at least 7 complete.

    I thought slappy leadoff hitters weren't supposed to strike out.

    When he played here in Charleston a few years ago he dated one of my softball teammates. We'll just say she was 15 and he must have been 18ish at the time. After a few blow ups on the field last year he was quickly moved up. He was three years older? It was doomed to fail from the beginning. The next time we have a Q&A with a single-A manager, we'll have to ask him if he has a "don't date high school freshman girls" policy for his team.

    Boise's pitching has been absolutely phenomenal the past couple of nights.

    I doubt that. But I'd imagine Murton will see slightly more playing time if he gets called up than before.
