  1. The Reds must really fear Neifi.
  2. Barrett isn't very good at rundowns...
  3. Did anyone hear it yet/is anyone actually watching?
  4. And where were you with this info? ha ha Hey, I'm not on trial here. MILB.com had a link to it on the front page. It was a Suns broadcast, but you could mute that and play the non-WMP WDXI link in another media player. I doubt it would match up and it might take up too much bandwidth, but still worth a shot tomorrow.
  5. There was video broadcast and nobody said anything? Shame on everyone.
  6. HUGE 2-run HR by Craig!
  7. Ugh. Back-to-back 2-strike doubles.
  8. 3-2 count on the leadoff hitter and gets a grounder back to the mound. Biggest AB of the game for Ryu? I hope. Well, then he gives up an 0-2 double.
  9. Show 'em how you can hit, Ryu!
  10. WOW! Way to go, Brandon!!!
  11. Mitre the starter and Mitre the bullpen pitcher are two completely different ballplayers. He needs innings and has to use his sinker, not throw a big curve ball nearly as often as his fastball in an inning of work. You might as well just not pitch him, because from the very beginning, it was painfully obvious that putting/keeping him in the bullpen was going to completely kill his trade value. I'd much rather see Mitre and Hill piggybacking in Rusch's spot. This is one of my biggest criticisms of Hendry this year. Many people on here knew what was going to happen with the move to the bullpen before it happened. Not only did Jim ignore or not put as much importance on the obvious, but he has continued to keep him there. It's not good for the organization, it's not good for the team, and it's not good for Mitre.
  12. That dude put up some of the most ridiculous rushing lines in HS I'd ever seen. Consistently above 200 and 250 yards. 9,426 career yards in H.S. There's a reason why December 7, 2004 is Tyrell Sutton day in Akron, Ohio.
  13. I'd just like to thank Ohio State for not even giving Mr. Sutton, Big Ten Player of the Week, a look because of his size. And for the shorter folks here, I thought I'd pass this observation along from the Daily Herald: Of the top 7 leading rushers, 6 of them are under 6 feet tall.
  14. Carlos Zambrano (13-5, 3.18) is good, Eric Milton (7-14, 6.63) is bad. Neither has done well against the opposing team this year, though. But remember to tune into WDXI to catch game one of the Southern League Championship Series.
  15. I'm not so sure about that, I'm sure he's well aware with the way things work this may be his only shot at the show... Look at Crash Davis in Bull Durham he had a cup of coffe and cherished it, you think he would trade that to be part of the possibility at a AA title???? (I know it's a fictional character, but still) I still don't agree with the move and obviously Fontenot would be the best choice, but to say that Theriot wouldn't want this I think is wrong. That's why I said unless this was going to be his only shot this season. If he'd be up after the Jaxx are done (probably right after the Cards series at Wrigley), I'm sure he'd get a lot more out of playing in and winning a championship with West Tenn. Certainly more playing time, at least. But it's still a great honor. I hope he has fun with the big league club.
  16. That doesn't have to be done at this point, though. He can be put on/stay on later. If I'm in Ryan's position, I'd much rather stay with the Jaxx for the Southern League championship series than get one or two ABs with the Cubs. The only way it's good for him is if the Cubs wouldn't call him up after the championship series unless another middle infielder went down.
  17. I'd imagine so, yeah. But why call up Theriot instead of Fontenot? Ryan actually has something to play for right now. And I'm guessing they moved Wood to the 60-day DL to put Ryan on the 40-man roster. Welcome to the forum, by the way.
  18. Wow. I didn't think it would be anything close to that size.
  19. I don't remember how many years but I heard yesterday that it has been a LONG time since they all lost on the same day. Is IU on top of the Big 10 right now, along with MSU? Every other team is undefeated, although Purdue has only played one game.
  20. When was the last time that Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa were in a 3-way tie for dead last in the Big Ten?
  21. Well I'm dead. Almost. I got 3 hours of sleep last night because my body refused to shutdown (woke up at 4:00...) and I was on the verge of passing out in the stands from the 2nd quarter on. At least it was worth it! The defense sucked beyond recognition today, but luckily the O-line was great, as well as Cole. But now everyone knows that Tyrell Sutton is for real. My goodness that guy is great. And he's only a true freshman! It's a shame Walker cost him a 5th TD, though.
  22. It should be a good game (and it's on ESPN Classic). Biggest game of the year for Northwestern as the team stands right now, and not just for Chicago/Illinois bragging rights and recruiting. I'm going to die in the heat and sun, but it should be worth it. It sounds like Philmore is probable, but Kim Thompson is already out with a broken finger, so the other WRs other than Herbert are going to have to step up. Not sure if any of NIU's WRs were suspended yet for the frat fight.
  23. Congratulations to the Diamond Jaxx!!!
