  1. It'll be real interesting to see how much the deal is worth even if the last 3 years are club options.
  2. That's what Lou said on the pregame show. He referenced how often Marmol has pitched and that Marquis has the flu. Which probably means that Marmol will have several appearances before Marshall gets into a game.
  3. It's good to hear that Suarez is finally throwing again. And I'll just ignore that third point.
  4. Those are some pretty sweet jackets. I don't think I've ever seen those before.
  5. I let a little kid in front of me so he could get an unobstructed look, but the adults squeezing in was a little rude. And they only did it to yell things at the well-endowed Spanish TV reporter behind the goal.
  6. well shoot i guess they're basically eliminated, what with 7 whole losses. might as well give up now. In the history of the major leagues, no team that has started 0-7 has ever made the playoffs. They're going to have a rough time overriding all that history. Not saying it can't be done, but they've put themselves in a very bad position now. They're 5 games back with 155 to go. They're a long, long way off from having to worry.
  7. When was this? I must've skipped over it when I looked earlier today.
  8. This is what I posted last year in regards to the Soriano with the bases empty vs. runners on debate: Here are his 2007 numbers: Overall - .299/.337/.560/.897 None on (390 ABs) - .318/.345/.592/.937 Men on (189 ABs) - .259/.322/.492/.814 When you add in those numbers, you still can't draw any conclusions other than he's wildly inconsistent.
  9. The write-ins won for Seattle's naming contest. They'll go by Seattle Sounders FC. They beat out the ballot options of Alliance, Republic, and Seattle FC. Who could have seen that coming with those choices...
  10. Jon

    WGN HD?

There's a discussion about it here.
  11. Nothing like 5 hours of craziness to keep me entertained all afternoon at work.
  12. Well there goes Cedeno's playing time for a good two weeks.
  13. Walgreens didn't count on Fukudome when they renewed the JDRF donation sponsorship for every walk.
  14. Thanks for the info. My younger brother is still waiting for his 5/31 tickets, as well as some for June and August.
  15. I haven't. Anyone get their tickets yet for any games beyond April?
  16. The article also says that Rashied Davis has not been signed.
  17. Craig Robinson is leaving Brown after just two seasons to take the job at Oregon State. Good for him, but I'm a little surprised. Robinson is a good recruiter, but Oregon State is quite different than recruiting in Chicago, which he still did plenty of at Brown.
  18. If UCLA didn't grease themselves up before the game, they'd be in a good position to win it. Instead, they're getting whipped by a team in early foul trouble.
  19. Wow. UCLA has to be quite thankful that they're only down 3. They had a nasty combination of laziness and bad luck on loose balls that half that really should have cost them more. Memphis, on the other hand, played pretty well, but they can't be happy it's only a 3 point game.
  20. Memphis is getting to the basket with no difficult whatsoever. UCLA is once again starting off slow to help out in the paint.
  21. Wow, Shipp. Where has that been the last...while?
  22. I can't disagree about Shipp. If he can provide an offensive presence, that will be huge for UCLA.
  23. I want Wood to redo that inning so he can strike out at least two.
